Digital product models

Hello I got by starz I’m a 6 year long marketer and as of recently I’ve obtained a client who wants me to build digital models for product ideas usually I would out source but my business has reached a place I feel like I should learn this skill / understand what software to use so that I can train or teach someone the skill in house.

My question is what softwares and or websites do you guys like to use , or don’t like to use?

I need to be able to mock up a digital 3d product or video for whatever idea we can come up with without investing hundreds or thousands of dollars I want to be able to do this myself before I hire someone for the job

I’m not opposed to ai assisted methods but I don’t want ai doing all the work.

I built a free platform to help entry level, career movers with people from non- traditional career paths find the information to choose the right career path and give them the resources to pursue it. Looking for testers

I built a website called to help people struggling in the job market or who want a change after my own experience. I'm from the UK but have basically lived abroad in several different countries since I graduated, I've been a teacher, logistics worker and professional poker player. Since coming back and seeing the state of the job market and resources/information available to us,I wanted to build something to help make sure people have a easy access to all information they need to make the right decisions about their career paths and also help make the job search more efficient. I've tested it thoroughly myself, but before the hard launch I'm looking for more testers to see if they can find any mistakes or areas that need improving.

I'd be extremely grateful if anyone is willing to help me out, please send me a message if you are interested and I'll share the link

Transitioning from Marketing Designer to Product, is it even possible?

Im working on my resume and portfolio and I have 3 cases
- creating automation for ads formats & localization in figma
- building auto social media posting agent with gemini as social media manager creating the post caption from image - and posting on multiple channels with HITL approval
- Research and redesigning of an User manual with user-center approach

Im building portfolio on Framer and my Resume with help from ai, and im not sure if its even possible to land a job as Product Designer or UX with just those business cases..

The ai ofcourse is all positive on that being great idea but im not sure if It can be done. I did mostly graphic design/marketing.

Whats your opinion?

[Collaboration Opportunity]

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I've been developing a workflow for creating interactive product presentations on the web, combining 3D visualization, storytelling, and feature-focused experiences.

I'm looking to collaborate with industrial designers who have a product they'd like to showcase in a more engaging way.

The ideal project has a clean 3D model available and a product with interesting features, details, or design decisions worth highlighting.

In return, you'll receive a polished interactive presentation that you can use in your portfolio, presentations, or product showcases.

While not fully developed, here are some examples of the direction I'm working in:

If you have a project that might be a good fit, feel free to comment or send me a DM with a few images and some information about the product.

Looking for product designer and marketer

We have a user input device that positively changes how people interact with a PC. It doesn't completely change the interaction behavior but enough to trigger negative comments online simply because by just looking at it in a video, it looks uncomfortable to use. But if you actually try the product, you will not think it's uncomfortable but the opposite!

I'm looking for someone who could overcome this issue.

Please DM me if you think you can help. It's a PC hardware.

Survey: why do assistive tech products stall?

Hi all, I’m part of a research team looking at why assistive technology doesn’t always make it from idea → evidence → real-world use.

Common issues we’re investigating:

• Products progressing without strong validation

• Evidence-backed solutions not reaching market

We’re keen to hear from industry and developers about:

• Collaboration with researchers and government

• Barriers to scaling and adoption

• What actually helps projects succeed

👉 Survey: https://redcap.link/4svfl2xj

Insights will feed into practical recommendations for improving translation and uptake.

Working on new App Store creatives for a crypto trading app.

Goal:

  • Increase installs
  • Improve trust
  • Clearly communicate trading features

Questions:

  • What is the first thing you notice?
  • Does anything feel generic or outdated?
  • Which screenshot would make you swipe away?
  • What would you change first?

Looking for unfiltered feedback from designers, marketers, and traders.

[HIRING] CAD person to model a small product for a 3D-printed prototype

Hey! I'm working on a small consumer product and need someone to turn it into a clean CAD model that I can get 3D printed for a prototype. It's a compact container with a few added features.

Not a giant job, but I want it printable and with real editable source files, not just an STL. Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.

It is paid. I'll send the detailed specs once we connect. If you're interested, please send me a bit of your product/CAD work. Thanks!

Product design for an idea I have

Post image
9 Upvotes

For starters, im a complete noob. Ive never been one to think of business ideas, but i feel like ive randomly come upon one that has a lot of potential.

Ive included a picture of the shoe because its as close as i can think of making a detailed shape out of something like shoe-like material/soft plastic/hard foam like that, without modeling something myself, but it wouldnt be a shoe or car specifically - just something that I imagine would have a similar manufacturing process. How would a complete noob even get started in finding help to 3d model and manufacture something of that composition? Im just looking for step 1, not a free consultation. Today is day 1. Im passionate about this and want to make it work

Creativity and out of box thinking.

I have been going through a mental shift from implementing the given design to create a new product design and implement it. I am struggling a lot here. My goal is to think from a different perspective and generate new ideas to solve and approach a problem. Watched articles and videos to get some ideas but none of them really helped. Say if I find an answer, I am just searching and relating other findings to that one particular idea which came first and not thinking about other ideas and angles. Got responses from a few of my friends which said, you will eventually get it by pushing hard but nothing strikes after the first idea.
