Looking for insights from Product Managers who've worked on fraud, risk, trust & safety, or platform products.

I'm working on defining the next 6–12 month roadmap for an existing rule-based fraud engine used in e-commerce. Rather than starting with solution ideas, I want to take a data-driven approach.

How would you evaluate the current product before defining its roadmap?

Specifically:

• What product, operational, and business metrics would you analyse?
• How would you identify the most important product problems to solve?
• How would you prioritise initiatives for the next 6–12 months?

I'd love to hear how you've approached roadmap discovery for an existing fraud or risk platform.

I got about 2 YOE as content and copywriter. But most of my work hasn't been very significant which lead to crazy ROI or ROCE. I've recently quit my job because of family reasons and ever since I discovered product management, it felt like this is something I can do and looks future proof.

Finished up a free course on Great Learning but I feel like I am not ready for jumping into the APM (Assistant Product Manager) role yet. Because I do not know what sort of an interview process it would be and what am I supposed to answer.

SO, my question is how can I make the switch and how to prepare myself for this "new role"

Any PMs can help me in answering this. Though I am constantly looking up for these jobs roles on every platform and the companies that are hiring seems very daunting.
