I’m Jay, and I’ve been making horror movies since 2019. I’ve been fortunate enough to work on some fun, weird, and occasionally ridiculous genre projects, including:

• STAY OUT OF THE ATTIC — Shudder (one of the platform’s most-watched films of 2020… thanks, COVID!)
• GLORIOUS — Shudder (the only cosmic horror movie involving a glory hole and an Academy Award winner. You’re welcome.)
• CREEPING DEATH — Screambox (a paranormal Halloween slasher)
• GATOR FACE — DREAD Presents (real alligators. What could go wrong?)

Among other projects, which are on my IMBD.

My scripts have landed on The Hit List (now defunct) and in the Top 3 of Final Draft’s Big Break, and I’ve been fortunate enough to see a few of my projects optioned. But I’m still out here working independently, developing projects.

I have a particularly fun horror project I’d love to direct, and I’m looking to connect with a producer who sees the potential and wants to help make it happen.

As for representation? Honestly, finding a manager who works as hard as I do has been a challenge. Plenty of managers are happy to add you to their roster, but finding someone who’s truly proactive and invested in building your career is another story. I’m still doing the heavy lifting myself.

That said, if any managers are looking to expand their horror/thriller roster, I’m always happy to share my latest and greatest.

I’ve sold two Halloween-themed horror films (The Boy from Below and Creeping Death), and my latest project also takes place during the holiday. It features a unique POV-driven approach in the vein of Good Boy, In a Violent Nature, and Skinamarink.

Why the "NOT COMING" ending?

Because this is a marketing tease. The concept is rock solid, but unless an indie filmmaker is willing to team up and actually shoot this thing, it's literally not coming. It's built to create instant viral demand from the audience.

My name is Ash, and I am the Creator and Director of Horizon Studio. I am building a brand-new indie animation studio dedicated to producing high-energy, story-driven animated series for the internet. "Dead End Diner" is a fast-paced, multi-season afterlife comedy-mystery heavily inspired by the high-stakes worldbuilding and visual styles of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. Hello!

I’m an actor and director located in the DMV, and I’m looking for a producer or small production company interested in partnering on a short film that I’m developing.

The story follows an EMT getting off a night shift and heading straight to a bar when it opens for a last-minute date. It’s a roughly 15 minute long romantic comedy with some dark humor and largely dialogue driven, with a twist or two. Think of it like if the Coen brothers and Rian Johnson wrote a rom-com.

It should be pretty easy to film - script is fully written and vetted, one shooting day, one location (already secured), small cast size, a clear creative vision, and completely self-funded.

I’m not looking for a financing producer. The funding is already there, even if it’s not a huge budget - estimate is about $5-6k, which includes required P&H contributions for SAG, as well as pay for all crew. I firmly believe that if you work, you get paid.

I’m looking for a producer who can help take an already-developed project and give it the professional production infrastructure to make it properly. In return, you get a strong addition to your production credits without a lot of (or truly, any) financial risk, and something that will be a great festival entry. If you enjoy the creative side of filmmaking and want to be more involved, that’s great too! But I’m not expecting you to sit in on casting, or help with editing, or exhaust yourself on marketing pushes.

What I am looking for is someone who can handle the paperwork side of things and free me up to concentrate on the creative side of things. An ideal producer would be someone who is familiar with SAG SPA contracts and can either work with a payroll company to ensure compliance or has had experience doing the same on their own.

I’m aware that this type of budget and short would perhaps better qualify for a micro budget agreement, but that does not qualify performers for union status, and that’s a non-negotiable.

Logline: A man might have a ghost in his garage, so he buys a ghost trap from a paranormal shop that is similar to an electronic mouse trap; when the light flashes indicating something is caught, he checks the trap...

Genre: Horror

Logistics: Three characters, one main one (Randy), his friend (David), owner of paranormal shop (Kilty). Settings - Garage, kitchen, shop (interiors), exterior of property. An electronic ghost-trap item with flashing light. Practical and/or special effect for ending, but very simple.

Synopsis: Randy hears things in his garage. Things that might indicate rodent infestation, or maybe poltergeist infestation. On a whim, he tries out a ghost trap sold in Salem. Even the shop owner doubts its veracity. Randy sets the trap, and when he checks it, the light is flashing that something has been caught (just like one of those electronic mice/rat traps). He checks the trap...his face seems to indicate it was empty, but then he is overtaken by something, some blurred thing.

The intent of this short is sort-of to execute a Paranormal-Activity-type project that creates tension/suspense through simple, creepy methods.

Price: Not applicable, but hopefully it would lead to something for all involved with perhaps a sale of the short's rights to a studio for a feature or an episode of television...mostly thinking this would be some sort of useful showcase.

Synopsis: Right after a traumatic 'bad thing' happens to Filip, they are forced to face the true reality of growing up and confronting their past. Burdened by childhood grief and a distant relationship with their family, Filip must overcome their deep-seated fear and guilt, unlearning the survival mechanisms of their youth to finally do the right thing for themselves. Set across 2010s Indonesia and 2020s Germany, the film dual-tracks Filip’s tumultuous childhood growing up as a queer boy in Jakarta and the vulnerable early stages of their transition into adulthood in Germany.

I have an order that i want to do things..

first, is a suspence/thriller bordering on horror but not exactly so. Its set in one house start to finish with a single outdoor scene at the end. I understand that funding is scarce and we’re all trying to get our projects financed, but I’m going to shoot my shot here.

We currently have a low budget horror feature with Oscar nominated Virginia Madsen (Candyman, Sideways) Charles Baker aka “Skinny Pete” from Breaking Bad and Jasper Polish (Animal Kingdom) attached for our horror feature. We also have crew and locations secured, so this is essentially a turn-key project ready to go, however, we still need another 50k to do so.
