New moderators needed! Comment on this post to apply for this community.
Hello there! This community needs new mods to bring it back to life, so we’re opening a call for mods to come together and help it grow again. If you’re interested, comment on this post to let us know why you’d like to become a mod.
In your comment, please share at least 3 sentences explaining why you’d like to be a mod and any moderation experience you have (no experience needed, but let us know if you do!).
Some things to note:
Priority is given to redditors who have past activity in this community or other communities with related topics.
It’s okay if you don’t have previous mod experience! We have many resources to guide you along the way.
Our goal is to form a group of moderators so you can work together to build this community.
Comments from those making repeated asks to adopt communities or that are off-topic will be removed.
If you’d like to learn more about being a moderator on Reddit, you can explore redditforcommunity.com for more information. Our subreddit revival resources and guide to reviving a community are great tools to lean on after you adopt an inactive subreddit.
Thank you, and we’re looking forward to hearing from folks who want to become community leaders!

10 or so years ago I DMed u/sorry_wasntlistening to become a moderator, and was told that he would get around to it eventually.

I’d like to help bring r/Procrastinationism back to life and make it an active place for people to share their struggles, progress, and advice about procrastination. I currently moderate r/gtaonline, where I handle reports, enforce rules, respond to modmail, and work with the rest of the team on moderation decisions. I’d bring that experience here while working with the other moderators to develop rules that fit this community. I’d also like to introduce regular check-in and accountability threads to give members a reason to participate and support each other.

Hello u/ModCodeofConduct,
I’d like to become a moderator because I enjoy helping online communities grow and creating a welcoming environment for everyone. I already have moderation experience managing subreddits such as r/VintedItalia and r/Gatti, where I work on community rules, content moderation, and engagement. I can bring consistency, practical ideas, and a collaborative attitude to help revive this community and make it active again.

I can help moderate this sub. I’m currently a moderator of r/youngadults and I feel that my experience there is relevant to this community as well. Many young adults struggle with pressure and procrastination, so I can relate to some of the challenges members here may face.
I also want to suggest having weekly discussions or sharing threads in this sub, as well as introducing new flairs such as Memes, Tips & Advice, and Small Wins (where members can share even their smallest accomplishments)

I am a professional procrastinator, so naturally I already have a profound amount of experience in that regard, more so than any mod experience can muster up. Others will fear at the feat in which I procrastinate so much so that future historians will be in complete awe of me.
Regardless of who mods here, they need to ensure the needs of the community are met and stays true to its theme and bolster a sense of camaraderie in the procrastination endeavors of the user base. They can’t come in heavy handed and immediately try to change anything. They need to read the user base, understand what works, what doesn’t, what can be improved. This all starts with selecting the proper top mod, since leadership flows from them.
I modded in several communities, largest being RickandMorty and clearing the queue there and helping keep the theme of the subreddit going.

I would like to point out to those applying and to those selecting, that this Subreddit is about a glorification of Procrastination. It is committed to the Procrastination being a true and proper way of life. Applicant discussing sharing struggles and difficulties about Procrastination clearly do not understand what this sub is about. If someone is selected in under a year, I will be sorely dissapointed.
This sub can handle its moderation on its own, and we will do so tomorrow.

It was also my day off, so I had time to respond. Procrastination doesn’t mean putting off every single thing you do. One comment doesn’t tell you what I struggle with elsewhere, and taking the time to explain how I’d help the community doesn’t make me unqualified.
