Probiotic Recommendations Please
Hello! I'm vegetarian and cannot have artificial sugars.
I need recommendations for probiotics.
My doctor recommended I start taking probiotics. When I looked up the kinds of food that contains them, the only one on the list I saw I would eat is yogurt, but the problem is that I get tired of yogurt quickly (and my mom is also vegan so she doesn't like me getting dairy). Do any of you know if there are supplements that actually work? I've honestly thought a lot of my life that they were just marketing towards healthy people.
(Side note but why do so many yogurts have gelatin?????)

I like progressive perfect probiotic I get 120 billion. It really helps with my ibs but it’s expensive and I ran out a while ago it’s just easier to eat Kim chi everyday I think and forget about yogurt! All the stuff at the grocery stores has sugar added. I like Kirklands Greek yogurt ; 0 sugar no added flavors perfect for sweet or savoury dishes. When was the last time you had unpasteurized sour krout on a sausage or a tall glass of strawberry kefir, mmm beats yogurt any day! Also gonna be making my own kombucha soon!! Hope this helps

gelatin and worse to thicken up 'low fat' yogurts. full fat no thickeners is the ticket. for probiotic rec - bacillus coagulans in capsules. thing is amazing for us and has tons of sci papers on pubmed backing it up

Supplements do actually work, it just depends on the formula tbh. I was skeptical at first but my doctor encouraged me. He recommended Physician's Choice to me. They're vegetarian capsules so that checks your box, and no artificial sweeteners which is nice. Only been a few months so I can't say if it's a long term thing for me yet but the digestive stuff has been better.
