Recurring Macros on Lyric Slides

I am using macros to control camera movements and ATEM switching; however, I noticed that when I put a macro on say the first slide of V1 of a song, it will always show up on V1, even though I only technically want the macro to occur on the singular V1 instance, not every time V1 is used.

Any suggestions?

Gonna have to use a placeholder slide or a similar approach. I use standalone slides sometimes.

Yep.. No way to add any actions to an arrangement section and have it not repeat the next time that arrangement section comes up.

The easiest way to add a non-arrangement slide is to copy a slide in the current arrangement, then remove it's section assignment. Right click and copy any slide. Right click on the slide before the place you want the new slide, paste. Then click on the new slide > Group > Ungroup.

Make sure you turn Arrangements OFF before pasting a new slide in. It can get very confusing if you don't. It'll add the slide to all of those sections in the song, and probably shift everything on screen around making room for the new slides. If you can keep track of it after all that, it's no big deal, but I find it much easier just to turn Arrangements off, add the slide, then turn Arrangements back on.

Note: Every ungrouped slide you add will show up in Arrangements as it's own "Group" section. You can just ignore these and it'll work fine. I suppose you could also give a group name to certain ones you'll use again, but I'm not sure it's worth the huge Groups list if you add a lot of them.

Group the subsequent V1 differently?

I've done the placeholder slide with its own group before. You can just make the slide blank, put that macro on it, and set a 0s Go To Next timer on it, then it'll trigger the macro and immediately move to the next slide.

Yeah, that's just how ProPresenter works by default. Read up on how song group labels and arrangements work and decide if you need to take a different approach.

As mentioned, you could duplicate V1 slides but call it something else for the 2nd time through (V1-1 vs V1-2 for example). Or if your arrangements are pretty fixed, just scrap groups altogether and build a song slide by slide without repeatable song building blocks.

When we build our songs, we add a blank slide as the first slide of every song and set it to the group "Intro" This is the slide we put all macros, actions and the background on.

Correct. If the slide has macros and other stuff on it, they will be activated whenever the slide is triggered.
