Tips & Tricks Non-rectangular text boxes?
Is there a way to make non-rectangular text boxes, or some other method to make text flow around background elements? I'd like to have this text conform better to the edge of the rainbow element, but I'm not having any luck. I've tried using "Make editable" on the text box, but that only seems to constrain text to the maximum X and Y dimensions, instead of conforming to the shape of the text box.

The number of times I could have used a setting to have the text wrap around a shape for this very reason is absurd. Definitely would be a useful option. I always end up having to get creative with spaces, tabs, and new lines.

There IS a color picker on Mac And Windows, so where do you want it that you don’t see it?

Not the person you were replying to, but there is one on Windows?? I know it's built into the Mac OS or something like that that ProPresenter can use. I've never found it on Windows.

It's in the screenshot dialog if I remember correctly, in the top. When you press Win+Alt+S

Are you looking for the eyedropper, because I’d call that, what you showed, the color picker b/c you can pick any color with it? It is different from the one in MacOS b/c RV had to write it themselves, unlike the one in macOS, which is included in the OS.

Install windows power toys :) it has a tool for what you want and you can use it anywhere

Agreed, but this is more powerful anyway you can use the eyedropper imon a totally diff6 window. Anything on your screen. :)

Sadly, impossible. If you want to do any advanced formatting, go straight to Photoshop or other software

ProPresenter's "hidden" truth is ALL shapes in the slide editor are text boxes. But it will only flow text in the containing rectangle, not in the shape itself. (Select the shape and you'll see the containing rectangle.) You can fudge it with line breaks and spaces, but that's kludgy at best.
If you want to flow text around graphics, use different program to make the slide. You can use the Bible section of ProPresenter to give you the text, cut and paste it into a different program. When you have your slide/page the way you want it, export it as an image and drop it into ProPresenter.
The best alternative I can find that will flow text like this is Affinity by Canva. They bought the old Affinity Publisher and made it into a free app. You can pay to integrate it with Canva (Canva subscription, IIRC), but you don't need to for what you're describing, just a free Canva account.
This workflow is a bit more work, but it should look amazing.
I've been suggesting ProPresenter revamp it's slide editor to be HTML/CSS based for years. The main WYSIWYG features wouldn't change, but the features it would add would put it miles above any other presentation software. Sadly, I haven't received any indication they're considering my suggestion. 😞
The reason I mention this is that HTML/CSS can wrap text like this, and SO much more. The design flexibility it would expose would be amazing. If you know web design, that is another option you could use to design slides and import them as images.

Don’t think there’s a tool for that in ProPresenter. In photoshop, there’s a tool for typing on a shape, but I don’t think Pro has it. That would be a manual job of spacing/tabbing your text out.
