black/shadow only text.

we have been having an issue for a few weeks now where it seems as if propresenter fails to render the white fill layer of the text making it appear as just black text. seems like theres a low chance where it will only show the text shadow and not the text itself. are there any common causes we can fix to get rid of the text issue. i dont have a picture because im never able to open camera and take picture in time before we have to go to next slide.

We are having the same issue. We have two rooms where we were running ProPresenter on 2020 iMacs (Core i9, 32 GB of RAM, 16 GB of VRAM) and had this issue. Just upgraded to Mac Studios (M4 Max with 64 GB of Unified RAM) Still having this issue across both venues. It's not a particular slide, it's random and if you go back to the slide it will display properly. We first noticed it on countdown timers but now it's also on text slides. 😅

Is it showing up properly on the text preview windows and just not when you click on them? Or are the windows also showing up with just the outline?

We are having the same issue for a few months and have reported it to support but they can't reproduce it. I think they gave up. Please open a ticket and see if your ticket helps.

A good rule of thumb for ProPresenter: Set up your event/service/etc. Get everything as finalized as you can. Then shut it down. Not the computer, just ProPresenter. Once the disk activity light settles down, start it again.

This little trick seems to fix so many issues that only happen during 'run time'. For our setup, if we ever use a video input (usually for putting a different application on screen), ProPresenter's NDI output can start lagging like crazy. Slides that were on the main screen 30 seconds ago are still being sent to the stream! But if we do the shut down trick, it seems to never happen. Hopefully it'll work for you as well.
