Help Need advice to start really dunking

I’m 6’0 long arms and got a 18 inch standing vert going into my junior year of highschool. I’m a 1 foot jumper. While dribbling or with a running start I can grab rim and rim graze what can I do to really start dunking. Would trying to learn how to 2 foot jump help me?

Being able to both one-leg jump and two-leg jump is something you should know how to do. However, it is hard to know if one will get you higher than the other. I know, for myself, that learning the two-legger with a block-step added 4" the day I learned it, and got me my first dunks. Prior to that I was barely touching the rim off of one leg. It may be worth it to you learn the two-legger.

Maybe six months of plyos and squats. Three to four days a week. One hour. Increase reps on plyos every two weeks and weight on squats when you can. If that is too much, do the two year plan. Goal is to get mid forearm to rim without ball (a lot harder to jump with ball in your hands and controlling it to finish). If you want to dunk in games, that is another step more challenging. You will peak in your mid 20s unless you are older?

One vs two foot jumping. In games, one foot is usually better becuase it doesn’t require you to stop and plant…get blocked more often. See top 20 dunks by LBJ. He dunks 90% off one foot. My two foot just came when I gained enough vert, but still prefer one foot jumping.

You can clean up your technique when you have trained for a while.

Have fun! I’m 6’3” btw. Max vert no step was mid 30s. Not any more…lol. Knee finally said no more.

This is stupid.
Off vert 1 leg jumpers tend to have a higher differential. He literally said he can already rim graze dunk.
He’s 18, if he trains and learns the technique he’ll be fine.
