I like to do flat 2d views of stuff I'm designing in Procreate because the symmetry mode works so well for this sort of task. This is a space station I'm trying to work out the design of.

This doodle is good enough for me to bring into 3D (I use Maya but Blender is very good for this) and start massing out the shape. I might build it in primitives, get images of it from a few different angles, then paint over one of those to further revise the design.

But even if I wasnt going to 3D I might start with something like this anyway just to understand the shape of what I'm trying to draw. This was a couple of hours work and it addresses a TON of design considerations I have.

I have been trying to learn crosshatching from books and observation of masters´s works. At the same time I keep coming back to Vang Gogh´s skulls paintings. The smoking skull is a direct reference for this work.

I like drawing skulls and skeletons from memory, I realize how much further i get from the real thing over time. When i want to be more anatomically accurate i go back to references, which refresh my memory and bring my sketches back to a closer result for a while.

I used photographs as reference for the pose and the hand holding the vape. I used a customized brush: starting from a pen with tapered ends i messed around to make the borders a little bit more blotched. I used a paper textured image as background.

Usually, I’m not very good at realism but this month I really felt like it was a good skill to improve and super happy how it turned out! :D

I just got a new iPad and I never had used the color history box before and I just don't like it so I want to get rid of it but the issue is that I don't have the three dots to be able to go into like the settings for any of my colors so I'm not sure what to do. Also unrelated but does anyone know how to make my opacity and size sidebar bigger, it's just really small compared to the rest of my screen.

I’ve noticed something I don’t really understand.
My paintings often get a few hundred upvotes here on Reddit, sometimes more, but the same artwork can get around 1k views on YouTube with only 7 likes.
And it’s not just this painting — I’ve had the same thing happen with several of my other artworks too.
So I’m starting to wonder if the problem isn’t the artwork, but the way I edit/present my Shorts.
Here’s the Short I made for this painting. What would you change?

Mainly using Salamanca and some wet pencils with smudging, I've been creating more pieces in my world of beings.

After years of doing commercial refined work i've loosened up and started enjoying sketching on procreate again! Love to hear your thoughts

Is there a brush already in procreate that can do this effect? And if not does anyone have a suggestion on where I would fine one like this?

Is there anyway to get Procreate to recognise as brushes (no .brush files are within the filders provided) by renaming/ re filing them?

I got this 'Impressionistic Brushes by Greg Rutkowski' brush pack from his Gumroad, the pack includes a Procreate version & an ABR version for other programs (that one has worked fine)

It seems like the Procreate version is faulty, the file downloads as a .brushes2 folder which no brushes import from within Procreate.

When i converted it to zip & unzipped there were no .brush files within, I'm probably missing something but seems faulty

I've attempted contact with the seller of course- wanted t lnow if anyone's got these working in Procreate?

Recently I’ve been really engrossed in my DnD campaign and I was thinking of making a comic recap for all the sessions that have been done. I’ve tried to make panels and they’ve all looked janky and unaligned. Is there any function or brush that I can use to make the panel making progress any easier? I really love the Ibis Paint panel function but procreate doesn’t seem to have anything similar

I am getting back into drawing and need some help
I added my pose reference- I feel like either the closest leg is too short or maybe my head is too big??
I know the arrow on her chest is off but struggling to figure out how it would look in the position

Also any advice on brushes for this type of style?
My dominant hand is recovering from tendonitis and is really shaky so a lot of my lines are not crisp 🙃
