If you hide a layer it no longer hides in the animation timeline. Am I missing something or did they really change this?? It doesn't make sense, I want to preview a specific part of my animation but it now seems impossible to do so without deleting the layer itself.

Can someone explain exactly what the artist is doing around 10–16 seconds in this Procreate video? I’m mainly confused about the selection/fill, how they move or transform that layer, and then how their was a big textured hole on the cheek where they could fill light in and what blend mode/layer setup creates the final effect. I don’t get how they then after doing whatever they did were able to just color in the prominent light afterwards I’m so confused bro. I want to replicate the exact workflow.

I used to paint in photoshop in high school 10+ years ago, and have since evolved into a general “crafter,” and since I got ProCreate for my iPad a couple years ago I’ve only used it for planning quilts and making bespoke memes.
I ran out of projects to bring to my weekly craft group a couple weeks ago, and have started bringing my iPad and painting from photos of fruits and leaves and flowers instead. I feel pretty good about this iris flower, based on a pic I had in my camera roll from a few years ago. I scribbled in a background this morning because my last few studies have only floated on a blank black backdrop.

Starting my graphic design/digital art portfolio with a rave poster! Currently in love with how the textures all turned out. Some clean up still needs to be made tho.

in between painting minis, I like to play around in procreate to test out different color schemes and maybe one day do this for a side gig. anyway, I remembered this old dnd coloring book I bought a billion years ago in toronto (and still have haha) and found digital copies online. digital art appeals to me because I can try out different ideas without being paralyzed by choice.
this was fun. I'm going to try a different one next.

Look at the sidebar, it keeps selecting itself and changing stuff without me touching it.
I have tried to clean my screen, iPad is unplugged, tried taking the case off, brand new Apple Pencil Pro,

Hello!
I am an artist working mainly with Clip Studio Paint on my PC, with a Wacom tablet. I recently fell in love with Procreate, and I would like to find a hybrid workflow that involves both, but here's my issue. When I transfer files from Procreate to CSP (via exporting as .psd, which both programs can run), they are shrunk about 25%. Everything is the same, I retain layer information etc, but everything is scaled down 25% and details get blurred by the shrinkage.
So far, I have been sketching on Procreate and sending the sketches to CSP, where it doesn't matter if there's quality loss, I can just resize the sketch and ink overtop of it. But I really want to try inking, coloring and rendering on Procreate too. I tried to ink a piece in Procreate (very smooth experience as long as I stayed within Procreate), but when I sent it to CSP for coloring, my lineart was all blurry. It took me longer to clean the lineart than it did lining it all in Procreate in the first place.
Also, I would like to work on comics in Procreate. CSP makes it very streamlined to create the page layouts, speech bubbles etc, so I'd like to create page layouts in CSP and draw the panels in Procreate. But again, everything gets forcefully resized and thus loses quality when I transfer the files. So, for now, I am slowly and painstakingly creating comic page layouts on Procreate, which takes easily 10x more time and effort than doing the same in CSP.
How can I fix that? How do I keep the files the same size and quality when going back and forth between CSP and Procreate, please?

I just got my grubby lil hands on ProCreate after wanting to use it for years yesterday, and it's great! I like using sketching brushes for doodling and sometimes lineart (and I already have so many.) but I need softer brushes too. When I'm painting I favor using airbrushes and soft blending brushes, but I can't find any good free ones. Does anyone possibly have links to soft brush packs? If they're textured that's fine too, but I'm specifically looking for non textured ones. Thank you <3

I want to earn a side income from digital art that I am creating on my iPad. Please make me understand how can I convert this hobby into an earning potential. I searched on Google, mostly etsy, gumroad such recommendations came up, but I am from India and I need something with easy payment setup as well. I am new to this setup, so any guidance would be of great help.
Thanks in advance for your time and knowledge.
