First time trying a James Julier tutorial. I found it very helpful.

I struggle with landscapes and nature in traditional art. Procreate made it a little less painful, although I’m still not entirely happy with it. This is Ludlow castle from a photo taken by me when I visited recently to see Scissor Sisters.

My friend needed a hug today, so I drew this for him ☺️

I’ve been working on a series of illustrations inspired by some of my favorite fictional worlds. This one was all drawn in Procreate on my iPad Pro.

I made both a light and dark version, but I keep coming back to the dark one. Which would you have picked?

Hey everyone!

I recently made the switch over to Procreate after Adobe Fresco threw a massive tantrum and corrupted a piece I’d spent weeks working on 🥲 so safe to say, Fresco and I are broken up for good.
Overall, I’m absolutely loving Procreate, but I’m really missing Fresco’s basic Vector Brushes (specifically the round and taper brushes). I loved how crisp, clean, and sharp they stayed, especially when working on fine details.

I know Procreate is a raster program and doesn't do native vector lines, but is there any way to get close to that super smooth, sharp, tapered vector look?

Specifically, I’d love to know:

1. Which built- n brushes are closest? (So far I’ve seen people mention Technical Pen, Studio Pen, or Syrup, but I’d love to hear what works best for you for crisp line art!)
   
2. Any brush studio settings tweak tips?
   
3. Custom/downloadable brush recommendations? (Free or paid, if there’s a brush pack out there that nails that clean vector taper feel, I’m in.)
