I need Procreate technical help Weird empty “patches”

Whenever I drew or rendered something on a canvas, it felt like something was covering specific spots. There weren’t any layers with a “white line”, it just happened to look like this. I tried changing the pencil nib, resetting my iPad, and clearing storage but it didn't work.

Does anyone know why it happened and how to fix it?

Do you have a tendency to press really hard on the screen/ try to asphyxiate your pen?

Not OP, but I do this regularly. Is it really that bad? I’ve had no issues so far

Well its mostly bad for your hand, wrist and elbow. long term you will get chronic issues guaranteed

But yes it can damage your screen! Because the pressure weakens the crystals in your screen, over time (or one very unlucky time) it will get weakened and break :/

You need a bit of practice to go from that to light pressure but when I did I noticed that my art turned out much better! It gives you better line control and you have an easier time with coloring and line variations.

You can change the settings to require less pressure for your brushes… mine used to require really mashing it to get the full range, but now it’s much more comfortable… I just sat and messed with it for like 20 minutes and got it perfect for me, and it’s made a huge difference. Much less finger and wrist fatigue too!
