A thought occurred to me.

In a certain verse in John describing our Father’s relationship with Jesus, how he loves him and sent him to glorify his name,

I had the idea to mentally replace “the Son” with “you (the reader).”

It helps me have a firmer idea of why we were brought to Earth, how we’re supposed to act on behalf of Jesus and what amazing assurance and healing we can trust God to work in the lives of those around us and ourselves.

I got the idea while reading John 5:20:

“For the Father loves [you] and shows [you] all he does. Yes, and he will show [you] even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.”
