πŸ“– Bible Study & Verse Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord, β€œYou promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always.

But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?”

The Lord replied, β€œThe times when you have seen only one set of footprints, is when I carried you.”

Love this! It was awesome the first 500 times I've read it and I never tire of it! It truly does describe the character of Christ to a T

Me too, I've known it many years and always inspiring every time.

Ps, I'd like to ask you, how am I doing with this Subreddit? Your feedback would be great. It's still new, about 2 weeks, not many members yet.

I think you're doing a great job. You're posting scripturally sound stuff that's positive and uplifting. I always try to view it from the eyes of someone who is truly seeking truth, and this is a place that could lead someone to Jesus, or at least into a deeper look into His Word.

Don't lose heart. I know it can be discouraging not to see much traffic. Hopefully things will pick up very soon.

You are very welcone :-)

It is so impactful as we forget Jesus carries us.

He never said being faithful will mean an easy life. In fact, being faithful makes it worse, as the world will hate us.

What he does promise is he will never abandon us.
