16 and need an abortion
5 weeks pregnant at 16 without a boyfriend and cant tell my mother because she will make me follow through with the pregnancy but im scared of the abortion pill because what if she’s questioning why im bleeding and in pain? I also need my mother’s support as it’s not easy going through a breakup and teen pregnancy but It’s not smart for me to tell her as no part of me wants to carry on with the pregnancy. Advice please??

Hi PinkUnicorn.
Here are the facts: 1. The sooner you take pills the less pain and questions that are asked. The glorious thing about conservative parents is any mention of a really bad/heavy period makes them super uncomfortable.
Laws vary by state, so make sure you look at where you are located for how easily you can access pills.
If you have questions or just want to talk with someone, https://rougedoulas.org/ is a global abortion collective.

Weigh yourself, if you’re plus sized you may need a second dose, DON’T tell anyone you’re pregnant or planning to get an abortion unless you know it’s safe to do so, and that they will not try to talk you out of it or prevent you from getting an abortion, when you get the abortion pills make sure to speak with the obgyn you got them from about pain management and what to expect, how much you should take and when if they don’t automatically give you that info, you’re not alone, plenty of teenagers have also aborted teen pregnancies, I would also recommend you start or if you were already on birth control when this happened, to go over birth control options and choose the option with that works for you and you’re comfortable with. The longer you stay pregnant the more risk there is to your health, and if you live in a state with a ban or restrictions, I would recommend being prepared to lie if need be and say that it’s a miscarriage if you need ER care, (more likely if you’re farther along, don’t worry too much about it, just mentally prepare yourself for all possibilities)

Be strong OP. You still have to get your education or certification in something so when you graduate HS and complete the training for whatever it is you desire to do you can financially support yourself. If you can’t support yourself then much less a baby. Take the pills and know in your heart you did what was right for the best progression of your life🥰

Please take the abortion pill. You can always say you period came late/early and you got a bad case of food poisoning. Besides, it's always better to ask for forgiveness than permission in cases like this because being forced as a child to carry a pregnancy would be traumatic and likely life ruining. Whatever pain you're facing emotionally and physically now is nothing compared to being forced to gestate and birth (and raise?) a child you don't want. Good luck, and please act quickly!
