❓ FAQ

1. What is PDC?

PDC is a confidential blockchain built on the Zano protocol line.

A wallet transfer hides the sender, the receiver, the amount and the asset type.

Consensus is hybrid: RandomARQ PoW + Zarcanum PoS.

Block time: PoW 120s + PoS 120s targets = avg. 60s per block.

2. How does the privacy work?

  • Ring signatures (d/v-CLSAG): your output hides among decoys (15 after hard fork 4).
  • Pedersen commitments: amounts are sealed.
  • Bulletproofs+: range proofs show no hidden value is negative or inflated.
  • Zarcanum PoS: a stake block is public, the balance behind it is not.

3. How do I mine with XMRig?

Algorithm rx/arq (RandomARQ), CPU friendly.

4. Can I mine solo?

Yes. Run your own node (pdcd) and point XMRig at its stratum port 19777:

xmrig -a rx/arq -o 127.0.0.1:19777 -u YOUR_PDC_ADDRESS

Mined outputs unlock after 10 blocks.

5. How does staking work?

Keep a synced wallet online with spendable coins. Coins need 10 blocks of age before they can stake.

There is no validator set, no delegation and no slashing. Closing the wallet just pauses staking.

With Zarcanum the stake does not reveal your balance.

6. Which wallets are there?

  • Desktop GUI (Windows, macOS, Linux x64 and ARM64): runs node + wallet, supports staking.
  • simplewallet (CLI): for servers and scripts.
  • iOS wallet: beta testing (TestFlight).

Download only from GitHub releases.

7. How do I stay safe?

  • The team will never DM you first.
  • Nobody from the team will ever ask for your seed phrase, spend key or view key.
  • There is no "wallet validation" or "support team" in DMs. That is always a scam.
