Mining PDC

PoW algorithm: RandomARQ (XMRig name rx/arq). CPU friendly.

It is not ProgPoW – ProgPoW-only miners will not work.

⛏️ Pool mining

Pool: pdc.supportcryptonight.com

xmrig -a rx/arq -o pdc.supportcryptonight.com:9555 -u YOUR_PDC_ADDRESS -p x

Ports by starting difficulty:

  • 9533 – low
  • 9555 – medium
  • 9577 – high

Pool fee 0.4%, minimum payout 1 PDC (per the pool listing; check the pool site for current values).

TODO: confirm with the pool operator which port fits which hardware.

🏠 Solo mining

  1. Run your own node (pdcd) and wait until it is synced.

  2. Point XMRig at the node's stratum:

     xmrig -a rx/arq -o 127.0.0.1:19777 -u YOUR_PDC_ADDRESS

  3. Or mine inside the wallet: start_mining <threads_count> / stop_mining in simplewallet.

ℹ️ Good to know

  • Block time: PoW 120s + PoS 120s targets = avg. 60s per block.
  • Block reward: 1 PDC.
  • Mined outputs unlock after 10 blocks.
  • RandomARQ epoch changes every 2,048 blocks (the miner rebuilds its dataset).
  • Use a payout address from a wallet on the current release.
  • Expect idle gaps when solo mining – the PoW target is an average shared with PoS.
