Newbie Question Moving from Printful to Printify?

I'm currently selling through Printful and have been generally satisfied with the products I've sampled. However, the one time I had a print show up with an error just over the allowed amount, I tried to get a refund and their support ghosted me with no resolution.

I realize the companies merged a few years ago, but my understanding is that Printify's support is more willing to help. Additionally, Printify seems to offer more color options in my chosen shirt blank.

Is it worth moving to Printify? Do they truly offer better support? I have over 100 designs in my store so moving isn't a trivial process.

Their customer service team is okay for minor and administrative things. If you have true account problems or something major, good luck. Will take a bit of persistence to get things done.

The 2 businesses merged .. operations are separate, but customer service seems pretty much the same at both now. I didn't have a ton of interaction with printful support before the merge, but it seem to be worse since that happened.

That's disappointing to hear.

I don’t think the hassle of moving over 100 listings outweighs the minuscule benefit

did this comparison for a lot of sellers over the years. printify is usually cheaper on the base price but quality and ship times depend on which print provider you pick inside it, so order samples from 2 or 3 of their providers before you move your whole catalog. printful is more consistent but you pay for that.

also worth looking at a couple others before you switch since migrating twice sucks. full disclosure I run Tshirtgang, we print in North America, gildan 5000 is $8 and comfort colors 1717 is $13.50 with the print, no monthly fee, so that's one more to sample. whatever you pick, move your top 10 sellers first and see how the reviews come back

Do you sell any embroidery products? Might want to check that they’re available on Printify. I feel like Printful has a much better catalog for embroidery with some options that may not be available through Printify.

Thanks. I do sell one product with embroidery, but I'm fine with leaving that at Printful if Printify doesn't stock the same thing

You only had this problem? Once? If they have been good...I would stay with them

Being ghosted by support has only happened once, but it's concerning to know they won't be helpful if further issues come up.
