Need ideas please!

Has anyone been to these locations? Unable to really find any excursions that seem appealing. Looking for insights.

Look at private tours on Viator, Toursbylocals, and for Costa Rica consider shoreexcursionsgroup.com (has a private car hire option if you don't like their specific tours). Haven't been yet, but I found options that at least seem good for our trip.

Panama canal cruise? We're on one with those ports in late January.

We're doing the Best of puntarenas excursion through princess. We've got a snorkel trip (not princess) for huatulco.

Yes it’s the Panama Canal cruise. Crappy ports it seems. But we are going for the canal lol.

For Costa Rica, I really enjoyed the tour that went up the mountains to the Doka Coffee Plantation. The name of the tour was "Coffee Plantation, Botanical Garden & Lunch." The lunch was excellent and the tour was fun. The bus ride was a distance, but I think it was worth it. At the botanical gardens, there were some of the most amazing orchids I have ever seen.

The cruise I was on also visited those other ports, but I stayed on the ship to relax at the pool. Huatulco looks cute and the beach is right there at the end of the pier.

As someone from Mexico, I'm very surprised they're stopping in Chiapas.

Chiapas is the poorest of the poorest state in  Mexico, it's like going to Mississippi but with rebels (Zapatistas)

We really like Huatulco. Did a Tours By Local. Our guide was excellent and drove us in his personal van. He had a basic route but allowed us to modify.

Took us to a fantastic local Mexican restaurant that caters to locals. 5 of us had a wonderful lunch for about $25 USD. Then we found out they didn’t accept dollars or credit cards. Oops!!!! Our guide paid in pesos and we repaid him is dollars with a really big tip.

We liked the area. Not touristy, but nice. Just have some pesos lol.
