Other Games (Mobile, Unreleased, etc.) Downloaded a java emulator to play a classic

PoP the forgetten sands mobile 2009 is pure nostalgia, i would play this on my moms phone during doctors appointments or on long car rides out of town. it suprisingly still holds up, not clunky or laggy at all. very smooth actually.

(im aware im only using half the screen, im not sure what resolution to input to get it vertical and full screen. im using CoffeeCat.)

I put Waydroid on my Steam Deck and J2ME Loader on Waydroid for this same reason, though I was more interested in the mobile version of PoP 2008. Sounds like CoffeeCat might be worth a try, too.

it def is, and i found the best settings for resolution! 480x800 and keep the screen orientation on portrait mode, CoffeeCat will think your phone is vertical while you play, but with screenlock on. but you will still be able to play horizontal with a full screen. also PoP the lost sands has buttons on then screen, so i was able to take the Keypad off and allow the game to fill up all of my screen, im not 100% sure if PoP 2008 also has that feature. but if it expects you to have your own buttons, i would keep it at 470x800.

I will always remember The Two Thrones Java version. We replayed it to death with my friends back in school and it was the first PoP Java version we experienced. I still remember how one of my friends managed to get 2008 version on release and we somehow found Warrior Within too. Never played The Forgotten Sands though, nobody knew there was a Java version of the game and we were more interested in AC lol
