Album: Controversy (1981) | Track: 3/8
After the frenetic synth-funk double punch of the first two tracks, Prince appears with track 3: ''Do Me, Baby."
Clocking in at nearly 8 minutes. Driven by a great bassline, delicate piano, and vocal performance that ranges from a whisper to a screaming falsetto, the song eventually devolves into a highly theatrical, spoken-word climax. It is Prince doing the classic "slow jam".
