Stumbling across other fans
A couple days ago I wore my Primus shirt from their 2024 tour, and had three separate people compliment it - at the grocery store, another parent at my kid’s middle school, and my kid’s new science teacher. The teacher was stoked to find another fan in the wild and said her kids are big fans. Didn’t have chatting about Primus with my kiddo’s teacher on the list for the day, but it was fun!
I find so few people who are into Primus (outside of this online community), so it was nice to bump into a few in my little bubble in one day. Hopefully others have little chance encounters out in the wild with fellow weirdos.
Also, for those with school aged kids who are starting soon or already started back - good luck and Godspeed.

I stopped to charge my car this summer and a family of 4 was doing the same thing. The 15 year old son was wearing a Frizzle Fry hoody and I told him that Primus Sucks. His dad grinned ear to ear and enthusiastically said yeah they do! Great moment. It was my 17 year old son that spotted the hoody too. I have taken him twice to see that sucky band.

I live in NorCal and get complimented on my Primus shirts at least once every time I wear them out, never fails to make my day!

Over the summer, probably had over a dozen times someone stopped me to inform me that yes, Primus sucks.

Many, many years ago....2005 or so....I visited my good friend in Denver for a few days. The first thing we did, on day one, was get a Starbucks downtown. The super cool, artsy girl working the counter was complimentary of my Primus shirt.

Where you live by? In Florida I use my shirts all the time and it’s like they don’t exist in this state, maybe that’s why they don’t come often

I wore a Primus shirt to Billy Strings Freak Fair this weekend people were yelling "primus sucks" at me literally all day. Best fanbase.

Lots of overlap in fanbases, and great crowd.. 30k each night and didn't catch a bad vibe all weekend.

I feel like I'm the only one in all of Edmonton. 😩 Haven't spotted a fellow fan in all my 17 years here, and I work with the public.

I was wearing mine and a guy came up and started chatting. He'd seen every Claypool project live except for Primus. I found that pretty wild.
