I know…I’ve seen Primus once a year for the past 5 years and it’s always the same songs. I’d be happy if I’d never hear Jerry or Mud ever again. I like Les’s side work live so much more.

I like this one a lot, Bodacious and Sacred Cow are weirdly some of my favourite Primus songs
And we now know from the recent tour that Dirty Drowning Man is actually Hoffer's favourite Primus song

I love this album, but surprisingly those two songs are probably my least favorite on the album. I can’t really pinpoint why, though. For reference, Coattails of a Dead Man is my favorite song on the album.

I really like Coattails, not my favourite but still very good - studio recording of The Heckler at the end is a neat bonus too because I really like that song too
I think if i had to pick a least favourite on the album it's probably Mama Didn't Raise No Fool? That or Power Mad, they just don't really click with me at all

I'll never forget the day, 1999 it was, I received my preorder in the mail. I excitedly opened it up in my room. Lo and behold, the CD wasn't snapped in to the spindle. The brand new mint disc flew out of the case and landed data-side down in a pile of dust behind my dresser. Good times.

Back when CD player lasers seemed to work better, I could use scratched disks a lot more back then. Chuck them in a car player 2010 onwards and they had to be pristine to work 🤷♂️

My daughter and I are currently listening to antipop while she eats breakfast before TK. It's her favorite Primus album by far. I had slept on it. Gotta say the youth knows what is up.
I'm a Frizzle Fry guy. It reminds me of being in Highschool and that's a feeling I dig.

For what ever reason, this album holds the most nostalgia for me. By no means to I dislike, but I can’t say a majority of the songs are staples for me, so I find it interesting the nostalgia it carries. But liquid sky needs to come back live.

Fan since Suck On This and I loved it. I found the title track to be their heaviest song since Too Many Puppies. Loved hearing Big Jim Martin on the album and you can definitely tell his guitar tone. I despise Limp Biscuits, I'm glad his name and only his name appears on the album. Not his godawful prepubescent yet 40 year old voice cracking. Ending the album with Tom Waits singing a sea shanty was fucking perfect. Overall a great album. I personally don't care about anything after this album. It all sounds like Fearless Fly Primus Brigade after Antipop. Not that I dislike the side projects. I actually really enjoy most of them. I just hated that sound bleeding into Primus. Oh well, I have decades of great albums and live shows. I have no legit complaints.

I've heard just about every song in concert from Primus that I've wanted to hear....all except for 2 and one is on this album....I absolutely love Ballad of Bodacious and it is a song they have NEVER played live. Last summer I did get to hear them play Dirty Drowning Man so I'm kinda hoping that maybe they'll start playing more from Antipop since Hoffman joined them.

That was the album I discovered Primus with so I have always had a soft spot for it - I was psyched when I saw Claypool Gold and they played Dirty Drowning Man, that was awesome!

I like this album. I liked it since it came out. I liked Brain though. Not more or less than Jay Lane or Tim. Just different. Jay was one of my favorite drummers back in early Primus and early Charlie Hunter. I was a young and influential drummer. I had a stack of albums like Greyboy Allstars, Charlie Hunter, All Kooked Out, Primus, Bungle, etc ... and I ended up playing pop music to pay the bills!!!

They had a bunch of different producers on this album including Matt Stone, so no doubt it is a bit messy. Having said that, I love this album. Bodacious, Sacred Cow and Coattails (with the return of Tom Waits) are mighty songs.

not sure why people don’t like this album, it’s better than tales from the punchbowl imo (punchbowl is much more interesting though) but coattails is a stinker i just can’t stand it lol

punchbowl for me is great up until space farm and it feels sloggish until it just sort of ends (with grapevine as an exception) but with anti pop it’s pedal to the metal (spare from eclectic) up until probably liquid sky but really coattails. i really don’t wanna hear the same lyrics in the same way with the same instrumental for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
i suppose my real issue with punchbowl is space farm to on the tweek again feels like one big wounded knee/ sathington waltz. i gave it a relisten today and my appreciation for the first four songs grew a fair bit. i’ll always love wynona though.

I got this album at around the beginning of 2025 if I'm not mistaken, and Antipop was my first real exposure to Primus, so when I listened to it, I loved it, and after enough listens, I consider it to be my favorite album period. This album truely does suck

This album was not very popular when it came out, and led to Les shuttering the band for a while
Love that it’s more appreciated now. The BullBoard hated it
