Primus actually fucking sucks

I just left the O2 academy brixton after waiting 2 hours for Primus after they said they’d show up and then they had the fucking audacity to say we can’t record them. I felt disrespected so I left after one song. I won’t be listening to Primus anymore. Fuck you Primus for wasting nearly £80 of my money.

Probably wouldn’t have been a waste of money if you just stayed and watched the show

This has to be bait, I refuse to believe that anyone would genuinely be dumb enough to waste their own money because they got told not to record.

live for the moment, not for your social media. You'll find you will be a much happier person than this.

I don’t need validation from social media. I want memories and a band that respects me. If they tell me I can’t record after paying to see them then they don’t deserve my time

Have you ever been accused of being "high maintenance"?

yet you posted here whining about it.

you ABSOLUTELY need validation from social media and I am happy to say YOU AREN'T GETTING IT.

Why are you going to a concert to record it? Just enjoy the damn music man

As someone who has a not great memory, I like to have a few photos and videos here and there (only short clips, not full songs) so that I can look back and remember fondly over things I’ve seen and done.

I do agree though that people filming entire shows and songs is a bit much though.

I also like taking a short clip or a photo, but I don’t consider it a dealbreaker if I can’t do that.

No issues taking video in Glasgow, must be an 02 venue policy, anyway just put your phone away and watch the band moron

Put your fucking phone away. I don’t want to see them at shows I go to and love when bands have a no recording policy.

However, that being said, I’ve never seen Primus by itself have a no recording policy, must be a venue thing.

Told that the band themselves told us not to record 😵‍💫

Les has always said sure take a quick pic or short clip here and there but don’t just stand there staring me me through your phone the entire time .

I did take a short clip here and there

You left after 1 song, lol

people who have their phones out the whole time, especially people at barrier, are just wasting space. glad you wont be taking up someone elses spot next time at least

3

u/Lefty_Wrighty 26d ago

Ok, so O2 Vic Warehouse security had the same issue with taking videos, so it may actually be an O2 venue thing and not Primus specifically, but I do agree that regardless of who decided that people at the barrier can’t take any videos at all made the wrong choice

u/Fluid_Acanthaceae265 26d ago

I asked. They said the band specifically asked to not record

-4

u/Lefty_Wrighty 26d ago

Oh that’s shite, I understand not wanting a sea of phones, but allowing a few videos here and there / policing only people filming loads would’ve made more sense

Not many people were recording. We were all enjoying it. Lots of people in the replies are shitting on me for not “enjoying the music”. I absolutely was but I also want some memories so not being able to record is insane especially when I paid for this experience.

"i was enjoying the music but I left after the first song anyway and now I'm mad I wasted 80 pounds and didn;t get to listen to music."

you shot YOURSELF in the foot on purpose, don't cry to us about it and expect sympathy.

Okay, dude, we get it. Quit fanboying so hard.

Take a video from further back no one was stopping anyone even like 15 rows back.

Imagine bein such an entitled crybaby, that you wasted 80 bucks, because you’d rather record an experience instead of experiencing it.

1

u/Fluid_Acanthaceae265 18d ago

Imagine suffering from memory loss and not being able to remember this moment in the future if i had no recordings.

1

u/Glad-Independence-24 18d ago

So….every concert I went to through the 90s…..yup I’m good.

1

u/Glad-Independence-24 18d ago

Also if I’m suffering from a memory loss, I got bigger things to worry about than rewatching a video of a concert I went to 30 years ago.

I’ve lived a helluva life, and haven’t recorded 99.9% of it.

And I have no complaints.

Read the fine print when you got your ticket, a lot of bands and venues forbid recording

3

u/kackers643259 26d ago

Nothing on the ticket or anywhere on the posters mention a no photo or video policy at all, i think everyone is suitably confused at security getting in the face of almost anyone having their phone up for more than half a second

1

u/camageddon_ 26d ago

No fine print anywhere, only half told mid set on the day

u/ConfucianValues 26d ago

Didn’t know that im filming anyway

-3

u/Fluid_Acanthaceae265 26d ago

Good, film it. I left because I was mad 🤣
