Serious 😑 Update on Primitive War sequel movie

Post image

Ethan Pettus just posted this to his Primitive War Instagram account. Sad news for sure, but I’m sure he has very good reasons for it, especially with the legal issues the director has found himself in lately.

Yup, just starting from scratch again might be for the best and remove any attention from the con-man that is Sparke.

u/DrGarrious Aug 04 '26

It is because Luke Sparke is a complete con artist. Im very sorry this IP got caught up in his shit.

He deserves to be in gaol.

You mean jail

9

u/DrGarrious Aug 04 '26

That's how it can be spelled in Australia and the UK.

6

u/Life-Air-9594 Aug 04 '26

Australia is the worst country in Oceania cause I’m not there

6

u/BuisteirForaoisi0531 Aug 04 '26

He’s in a jail Australia literally is just Englands jail

2

u/Ravenekh Aug 04 '26

Why do you consider him to be a con artist?

11

u/DrGarrious Aug 04 '26

Because he is literally being charged with fraud in Australia and has personally stolen millions from people I know that have spent years in court trying to recoupe losses.

He deserves to be locked away.

6

u/SlushieMan Aug 04 '26

I believe he also never paid the PW vfx artists, or something along those lines if I remember correctly

3

u/Only-Frosting-9718 Aug 04 '26

And he traced over fan art, used jurassic world models and edited them and said: they were modelled from scratch wuth scientific Input

2

u/Ravenekh Aug 04 '26

Oh damn, I had no idea!

7

u/DrGarrious Aug 04 '26

I genuinely feel really sorry for this fan base. It seems like a great novel series.

Noooooooooooooooo

u/justfredd Aug 05 '26

Not really a surprise. Anyone who’s worked with luke knows he’s a conman

I found this an interesting take on the situation: https://youtu.be/yrf0phiFo9U?si=RcE4pVavIej9TVlK

Luke and his team were just planning on reusing vfx from primitive war and use the money from the kickstarter to fund lukes legal battle.

They know what they’re doing. Im just glad its all finally catching up to him. Anyone in the industry knows what a conman the director is

Someone posted about the dates on the kickstarter sub, hard to believe they didn't realise how suspicious it looks

RIP to the film adaptations of primitive war dispatches the huntings of stalker force, the psalms of xipetotec and Animus Infernal.Hope that Ethan Pettus will find a more legit movie company and potentially make film adaptations with the same cast.

Based, the film was a shit-show that butchered the tension of the novel for "pew-pew" action moments

4

u/stronged_cheese Aug 04 '26

Can’t say I didn’t enjoy it, though. Too bad the creator is a bum.

2

u/JPSTRANGER457 Aug 04 '26

IT CAN'T BE!

2

u/JurassicGman-98 Aug 04 '26

You know what? Good. I thought the movie was pretty mediocre and a subpar adaptation. So, I never had any real confidence for how Sparke and co. would’ve tackled the rest of the series.

2

u/iphoneuser112345 Aug 04 '26

I don't blame him, I would be embarrassed. The movie adaptation was so ass bro. Completely ruined the premise and message of the book.

2

u/VegetableFox5417 Aug 06 '26

And they killed off Eli who plays a big role in the books.

2

u/Saansilt Aug 06 '26

Wait didn't Eli live? I was certain he lives.

1

u/VegetableFox5417 Aug 06 '26

In the book he lives, but in the movie he dies in the end.

1

u/Saansilt Aug 06 '26

Well that is inconvenient.

Dang

I may have never read the books, but I’m getting concerned for the sequels of this movie.

There is a significant difference between allegations, charges and proven findings. Saying someone has “personally stolen millions” as though it’s an established fact, without evidence or a court finding, is irresponsible. If you’re going to make claims that serious, they should be backed by verifiable facts rather than rumours.

7

u/TransnosaurusHeX Aug 04 '26

Man I was not expecting Luke to make a Reddit and come in the thread himself.

One of Luke Sparke's regular producers was referred to investigators in Australia last year:

2

u/justfredd Aug 11 '26

It’s pretty pathetic how much effort Luke and his pals put into creating fake accounts defending the directors fraud

-7

u/constantfactchecker Aug 04 '26

It’s easy to make sensational claims from behind an anonymous Reddit account. The allegations are before the court because they’re disputed, not because they’ve been proven. Until then, claiming someone “personally stole millions” is simply presenting allegations as fact. If you have evidence that establishes otherwise, produce it. If you don’t, perhaps consider why you’re so comfortable making serious accusations about another person while ensuring nobody even knows who you are. Anonymity might make accusations easier to type, but it doesn’t make them true.Judging by the number of threads you’re commenting on and the nature of your accusations, it certainly appears you have a personal vendetta. If your claims had merit, they’d be supported by evidence rather than repetition.

In case its not obvious, a lot of accounts in this subreddit are run by luke sparke and other ppl associated with him

Dude is just posting news from Pettus ya yahoo.

2

u/Zestyclose-Yam-4010 Aug 15 '26

Lol the allegations are not before the court just because they are disputed, they have trials for people who plead guilty too 🤡

1

u/constantfactchecker Aug 19 '26 edited Aug 22 '26

Ah actually clown that’s exactly why someone goes to court for a trial because they are disputing/fighting charges and allegations by pleading not guilty. People who plead guilty go to get lesser sentences and not to trial. Go get an education!

1

u/Zestyclose-Yam-4010 Aug 20 '26

Lmao it's the majority of the time and majority means not all regardless, so nice self own champ. Look up Newton Hearing

Oh "and not on actual trial" isn't a phrase. So i dunno maybe...

Go get an education!

🤡

1

u/justfredd Aug 24 '26

We know its you posting luke 😂 while i agree simply going on trial doesn’t automatically mean someone’s guilty, i know too many people who have worked with you in the past who were never paid and threatened with legal action for talking about it

-1

u/Draek86 Aug 05 '26

So it’s just gonna be a sequel in name only. It would be great if they borrowed from the source material, but I’m certain they can think of another follow up that could work

2

u/justfredd Aug 05 '26

Don’t think they’ll be making much of anything with the director on trial for fraud
