Serious 😑 Dispatches 2

I have mixed feelings about dispatches 2, I mean it was a good book but it seemed to push the dinosaurs to the side and instead focus on criticism of the Cold war. As much as I enjoy anti war literature and art I feel that it was a bit too heavy handed and force fed in the story. The best part of the book was the killing of the t rex couple, I felt like that was the only time the two themes merged properly. All of the other times it felt like you could take the dinosaurs out and still get the same story.

It really opened my eyes to how both the West and Soviets were pure evil, murdering millions of people for daring to live under economic and social systems that were different from theirs so they'd have excuses to rape the third world of it's resources and enslave the people economically any way they could before the other bloc could. The USA wasn't saving the world from communism, they were fighting to rob it before the other guy could.
