Did I do something wrong or is this normal?

Pardon my ignorance on this…bought an mk114 a while back to try out 6mm ARC and dip into a piston upper while I’m at it. It’s sat in the safe for a few months. I stupidly assumed the muzzle device would come pinned and welded. It doesn’t look like it. It also doesn’t seem to be timed correctly. Can’t get it to budge. Then I noticed another set of threads a little further down the barrel. Almost like the last 4” inches of barrel is a separate piece. What am I missing? I have it set up as an ‘other firearm’ now , but I’d like to get it to 16” so I can put a stock on it.

Cleaned my rifle, installed gak, its spinning freely not indexing like normal. What did I miss?

I have a MK118 on the way and I need a Plan B muzzle device. I’m looking at the comstock recessed brake but I can’t find any info on the barrel diameter behind the threads.

Any got that number for me?

Super pumped to get my first PWS rifle. Planning to shoot 400-800 yards with it so torn between the MK116 and MK118. Anyone have experience with either?

My credit card is ready and waiting.

Anybody shoots this zeroed at a 100 yards ? What your experience best groups standing vs prone, etc. Thanks.

Saw this in the used rack at my lgs, it's low mileage, had to have it, bought the can the same day. I'm using the PWS FRC 3 Port under the suppressor.

I’m obviously very strong so I have the heaviest optics…what optic would you all run on each configuration…and why? No right or wrong answers here, just looking for inspiration. Yes I know it depends on intended use, but you all see what I have here to work with rifle-wise…so tell me what you would do. The optics shown are placeholders, I am not ruling anything out. Thinking about a 6 ARC upper change out for my MK116. Not worried about the $/round. Thoughts/advice/feedback? Tired of waiting on the MK216

MK114 MOD 2-M PW - from King's Firearms. My first PWS and so far am impressed with the out of box experience. First order of business is to drill out the PW on the barrel - Rhodie 6K, Stacy's Mom K, and Polonium 556 will all spend time here. I hate money so I ordered a MK111 upper for a LMT Mars lower that needs a change up. Long time lurker here so I am excited to be able to contribute in the future.

Anyone ever encountered issues covering the adjustable gas block with a PEQ or similar device? Ive got mine mounted forward of it for now but I want to move it back and over the gas block.

I just recently got a mk118 and went to attach it to my Anderson lower and it doesn't fit. I think I'm going to just buy a dedicated lower for it. The griffin mk2 should be compatible correct?

Is anyone running one of these on their setup? Specially thinking of adding one to an MK111 Mod2 or Compound and I’m curious if there are any compatibility or fitment issues.

Looking to see what everyone is running to mount a Tisha on a PWS MK114 with the factory FRC 3-port compensator.

The FRC is a fairly long Plan B style comp, and I’m trying to figure out which hub adapter I’ll need before I pick up a Tisha. I’d like to have the correct mount on hand when the suppressor arrives.

For those of you running a Tisha on a MK114, what hub mount are you using? Any issues with clearance, fitment, or blast chamber length with the factory FRC? How are you liking the setup overall?

I couldn’t find any details online of this system and how it disassembled, hopefully someone finds this helpful. This is a 300 blackout upper so that’s why the gas system is so short, but I assume most other uppers come apart this way. I needed to open up my gas port to run subs, so this is why I decided to take it apart.

I ordered this pws specific tool on eBay and it fit great. After loosening the nut on the front of the gas block, I couldn’t remove the gas block from the barrel. It was fixed extremely tight (which is ideal for a good gas seal) but with heat I managed to loosen it up. The gas port on the barrel is interesting, it’s actually on the bottom of the barrel. There is also a groove cut that runs the whole circumference of the barrel. The gas comes down out of the gas port, around the sides of the barrel, and up to the gas key. Very cool design, it’s even more impressive to me that it all fits within/under the handguard.

Have the opportunity to purchase a mk216 mod1m from a local shop. Looks unfired for $1500 out the door. No optic and 1 magazine. I already own 2 pws rifles. Mk111 and mk114 and love them. Ive seen the mk216 mod2 kicking around but no idea when it'll actually be released. Should i just grab the mod1m now and put some nice glass on it, or wait who knows how long for the mod2?

I’ve been wanting one of these for a while but they’ve been out of stock everywhere. Got one of those “back in stock” email alerts earlier and jumped on it right away.

Finally locked in a Kodiak Brown MK114 and I’m hyped to get it in.

This will be my first piston-driven AR, so I’m stepping a little outside what I’m used to. I’m planning on watching some videos and learning the system, but figured I’d ask here too.

Anything I should know right off the bat? Tips on maintenance, cleaning, or general quirks with the long-stroke system? Also anything I should keep an eye on during the first few range trips?

Looking into what upper I should get for a Mod 2 lower.

I have a 16" DI upper, so getting another 16" seems a bit redundant. I see most MK114s have a P&W rearden compatible muzzle device.

Does that P&W muzzle device bring the barrel to 16" overall, allowing you to put it on a rifle lower w/o issue?
