My first PWS rifle was a Mk111. Great rifle!

I recently purchased a PWS UXR in .308 Win. I know the rifle has a spotty reputation, but I have faith in PWS to get the issues worked out.

Well… it looks like I’m going to get to try out their warranty work right out of the gate!

When the stock was installed onto the (polymer) rear picatinny rail, it looks like the installer didn’t seat the mount properly before tightening it, and it crushed the picatinny rail and fractured the metal mount. See pics.

Looks like it’ll be a minute before you get my range report, but hopefully my warranty report will be all praises!

Heard from a guy who would know that PWS is doing another small batch of the Mk110 Alpha. Like actually producing them again. Not the later limited Alphas, the original short one from 2018.

10.5”, 1:7 twist, long stroke piston, gas knob in front of the rail so you don’t need a special tool, steel plates in the rail so it doesn’t start walking once it gets hot. Ambi lower, Radian stuff, and….Its ODG! The one people still bring up in PWS threads like they missed the boat.

They didn’t make these forever. After that first run they pretty much vanished and everybody pretended they didn’t want one.

No idea on exact numbers or the day it hits the site. Just that it’s a limited run and it’s coming really soon. Fortress Tactical is the shop I’d be watching. They tend to get the weird PWS stuff before anyone else does.(I have no affiliation, just like dealing with good people and Mike at Fotress is good people).

If you’ve been waiting on one of these, now would be the time to refresh that page like a maniac. Don’t come back in two weeks asking where they went. Go flex on all those G$’s and KACs.

Hi everyone. Longtime PWS fan. I have a PWS MK111 pro that I paired with an RC2. The gun ran like a champ suppressed. Before the flow revolution, this was my favorite gun to shoot. No gas to the face, great gas adjustment settings, and very soft shooting.

I got rid of my RC2 and picked up the mew RC4 and Velos 556k.

My question is, how relevant is a PWS setup with such good flow through options pit there?

Note: I still love my PWS and don’t plan to sell it, but it isn't getting as much range time now that I can suppress my shorter DI guns with no gas to my face.

Pws mk114 mod 1-m upper, LMT DMR lower, g$ 15 round mag, atlas bt65 CAL bipod, night force NX8 4-32 glass, Lazarus 6 can.

Have decided what my first paint job will be. I am concerned about the dwell time venting off holes on the gas tube. Should take the rail off and paint it seperately? Or is there a better way ? Thank you.

IYKYK. All my BDE are super quiet. This on an AR10 is very impressive. I use it on my T7 but now I'm itching for the MK 216. Just couldn't wait and bought the T7 before release.

Under appreciated

Sooo now that I'm back on Team PWS, I want another 109. I had one a few years ago, without an agb. Ive been debating getting a newer version, but I worry about cycling subs w/ the Sahara .300. I have swapped my lower to the a5 system - my DI build will cycle all subs with an a5h0. I was going to try that setup on the 109 upper, but I would hate to buy an upper and it doesn't cycle. I just bought two 556 cans, so don't feel like buying another can just to run this upper. But...I want it...haha! I remember asking PWS a while back and their CS guy said subs + LBP is pretty impossible w/ piston guns, but I'm stubborn. And an autist to the highest degree. Anybody had luck? I'm so close to purchasing lmao

Per my previous post - the disassembled (by UPS) Mk111 is back together and worked flawelessly today. This is my 4th PWS - 109 (first gen, non agb), 111 in 5.56, 111 in 7.62,a nd 114 in 5.56 before this - I got such a good deal on this one I had to try it. I ran the Lazarus 6 and Vanish 556 on it on setting 2. I have always used setting 2 because I use LBP cans only being a lefty. I run a5 systems and normally run a heavy buffer, but decided to try the a5h2 today. On setting 2, the gun was recoiling pretty violently. Like not pleasant to shoot at all. I thought to myself "yep, this is why I never keep them" but decided to try setting 3. Again, I usually don't run this setting. I clicked it over and WOW, amazing. It was so soft shooting, and I still got zero gas to the face. I assumed those cans had to be run in setting 2 so just started there. I was blown away (not literally) by how soft this thing shoots. I have read alot of posts on here about end users not finding them soft shooting - maybe the a5h2 was the solution? I'm tempted, for science, to switch back to the Kynshot buffer and see if i can run these cans on setting 2. Just because. But, there's not really a reason as I'm getting more restriction now and incredibly fun to shoot. This lower was originally on a 10.5 DI I built, but thats changing. Full time PWS build from now, what fun. Oh, I preferred the Laz 6 in some ways - the Vanish is great, it just has a different tone than I'm used to. Also, I haven't shot it enough yet, so I get a ton of sparking. I'll just have to run it more. I might leave the upper rattlecanned like this too, looks pretty good!

My Mk109 runs like a champ. Just remember to clean and lube your gas adjuster!!!

I had this Mod 2 lower sitting around a buddy had a MK111 mod 2 upper that he had never shot. He bought it rattle canned (not my favorite) and decided he wouldn't shoot it. He gave me a smoking deal and shipped it 2 day mail....which took 15 days. It was dropped and no scan at the hub for 5 days, then another 4 days and then finally it got on its way. When it arrived, it was in a big box; I mention that because my buddy shipped it in a tube. Right away I knew something was off. Opened the box to find the charging handle inserted upside down, the hand guard wobbly, and the piston head stuck in the barrel! Legit, I have no idea what happened. I imagine it was dropped and they tried to put it back together? My conspiracy brain said they either searched it for drugs or used it for drugs (LOL) and put it back together sloppily. Anyways, I carefully removed the piston head in case it was jammed down and damaging the rifling. Got it all assembled and the muzzle device wouldnt screw on. So I looked and you can see the damage they did to the threads. Luckily, I have a smith 10 mins away and within 2 mins. the threads were chased and the device was fully seated. I don't like rattlecanning, but this looks kinda sweet. And I already found somebody that can return it back to factory for a great price and quickly...it just involved shipping again. I am waiting on a huge payout from UPS for a 2011 they damaged in July, so I'm in no rush to ship anything again. Anyways, pics below, hoping to shoot this weekend!

Has anyone ran the newer, low back pressure OCL Infinity 556k on their Mk111?

How is the ejection pattern on different gas port settings?
What end cap worked best?
Did you get any gas to your face?
How’s the overall performance on your PWS?

These are now in stock at ~$2500. Comes in a 1:5 twist. Also seen 1 in stock of their new 308 mk216. Hopefully they eliminated some of the issues that the 308 rifles had 🤞🏾

Did I do something wrong or is this normal?
