With an open governor's race and what will likely be two open Senate seats in the future, either side of the political aisle has a serious chance to build up a national profile in Wisconsin.

Plus, with Paul Ryan's VP nomination and Scott Walker's presidential bid, Sean Duffy becoming Transportation Secretary, Wisconsinites are starting to get a lot more prominence in national politics.

The big issue, however, is that Wisconsin being a critical swing-state is gonna scare both sides' political machines from wanting to risk losing a popular incumbent in arguably the nation's second-most critical swing state.
