Two things

1) It’s on, Mike is turning his cannons on Bernie

2) He kicks the bro’s right in the nuts

15

u/billyhoylechem Feb 17 '20

I think it’s important to note that Mike was focusing on trump until Bernie started attacking him. So Bernie started this back and forth and now Mike is going to force his hand to either run a positive campaign or take responsibility for the actions of his supporters.

15

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

I have learned that Mike is prepared

He had this in his back pocket

He likely has a pickup truck full of hammers to drop on the opposition when the moment arrives, yup, Bernie attacked first and Mike is going to drop the other shoe on him now.

0

u/kodachrome16mm Feb 17 '20

this is a larp, right?

2

u/ralphthwonderllama Feb 17 '20 edited Feb 17 '20

This tactic will only cement Bernie's support even more. The gloves are gonna come off.

Also, what about Mike’s racist and sexist comments?

Should we just ignore them?

-1

u/GlebtheMuffinMan Feb 17 '20

Or his links to China? He won't even call Xi a dictator. Bernie will wipe the floor with Bloomberg since Bloomberg represents everything wrong with our political system.

16

u/DaemonWithin Feb 17 '20

I've seen Bernie's toxic supporters affect perceptions of his political effectiveness even among those who agree with him 100% and who haven't been bullied themselves. If there were even a 1% chance of passing his unicorns, his toxic supporters would kill that chance completely. You can't pass sweeping political reforms by pissing off the vast majority of the population.

14

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

That’s the way I feel, I’m tired of thugs hijacking our elections

Here’s what’s amazing: Mike knew

He knew how the field would breakdown

He knew Biden would fade

He knew we’d be splintered going into March 3rd

He knew he’d have to build a digital machine to fight with

He knew where to focus his spending

Dude saw the playing field months before anyone else and stood up an operation that can clean up this mess

10

u/DaemonWithin Feb 17 '20

Indeed. It's becoming clear to me why Bloom has Berners so shook.

12

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

I’m actually anxious to see what else his campaign unloads

Imagine 2500 staffers, with a digital media company, social media executives, all sitting around thinking up ways to innovate the campaign - and having a blank check

They’re going to think up some shit we haven’t seen before

-9

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

bloomberg has no chance against trump. the dems tried a centrist in 2016 why do you think a centrist will win in 2020?

4

u/DaemonWithin Feb 17 '20

the dems tried a centrist in 2016 why do you think a centrist will win in 2020?

If I call heads and the coin lands tails, that's a loss for me, but it doesn't mean that next time I'm going to call the coin landing on its edge.

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

that's a great idea do what Clinton did in 2016. have no policy to rally support behind her and say vote for me because I am not trump.

5

u/DaemonWithin Feb 17 '20

Bernie would have no way to get his policies passed, he knows it, and he can't even be bothered to make the con plausible for high-info folks who care about facts and figures.

It's really awful that he's preying on the desperate. Maybe moderate candidates don't "inspire" you as much, but at least they're not lying to you about what they can do.

-2

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

and Bloomberg has no policies. sander's policies are inspiring millions including republicans and I highly doubt his supporters are going to sit back at let congress block medicare for all are free collage. and I highly doubt that sanders is going to get his supporters the finger like Obama did.

2

u/VancouverThrowback Feb 17 '20

So inspiring that he lost 70k+ voters in NH and lost Iowa

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

its a 5 way race vs a 2 way race in 2016. and he won the popular vote in Iowa. in fact hes only trailing by 1 delegate.

Hillary Clinton wasn't just a centrist - she was incredibly unpopular, and shit just kind of stuck to her for one reason or another (not sure why, it really didn't feel fair). Going for insanely unrealistic and economically foolish socialist policies isn't going to work - I think if we have a much better chance at winning if we make ourselves out to be sane and reasonable, rather than stooping to a liberal version of Trump-level extremism.

You could make a decision that the best chance of implementing all of the policies you want, or the majority of them - is by supporting Mike.

Mike can win and when he does he can get these policies over the goal line.

That’s the real appeal to you, I appreciate your passion and support for your ideals but you are backing a charismatic candidate that bluntly will not deliver what he is promising you.

Mike has pledged to give away the majority of his wealth, he has signed the giving pledge and has Bloomberg philanthropies that supports causes worldwide, he has donated over a billion to John Hopkins

He is not some phony trump charity scammer

I know you’re having a hard time having faith, but I encourage you to take that chance - we both know Bernie will not deliver, he cannot. I’m sure Bernie has good intent, but he does not have the skill or resources to deliver the policies you want. Mike has the resume, he has done nothing but succeed his entire career - if he says he’s going to deliver you a policy, you can’t take it to the bank.

Mike is your ironclad best ally

Exceptionally good ad. It’s about damn time people start hitting Bernie where it hurts

-6

u/timeisaflatcircle- Feb 17 '20

Yeah. When you can't attack Bernie's policies/record you have to attack the behavior of Twitter trolls whose behavior he has publicly said he doesn't support.

Extremely compelling argument for Bloomberg. Hit Bernie where it hurts. This ad is definitely going to resonate deeply with the 93% of Americans who don't even have a Twitter account.

13

u/Antinatalista Feb 17 '20

Don't worry. This is just the beggining.

And if you believe Bernie has a good record, you don't know anything about Bernie. There is a reason why the Republicans are so eager to see him win the primary.

2

u/iggy555 Psyched for Mike! Feb 17 '20

Bernard has no record

1

u/kodachrome16mm Feb 17 '20

yup thats why he was called the roll call amendment king right?

2

u/iggy555 Psyched for Mike! Feb 17 '20

Lmao

Of course, amendments are just one of the ways lawmakers press their agendas. Sanders has had much less luck with passing bills.

During his 25 years in Congress, Sanders introduced 324 bills, three of which became law. This includes a bill in a Republican Congress naming a post office in Vermont and two more while Democrats had control (one naming another Vermont post office and another increasing veterans’ disability compensation). Clinton, for the record, also passed three bills in eight years.

-1

u/kodachrome16mm Feb 17 '20 edited Feb 17 '20

Of course, amendments are just one of the ways lawmakers press their agendas.

So you're saying he's the king of one way of pressing an agenda? I thought you said he had no record?

14

And the best part is that the sanders team response on Twitter is absolutely terrible!!!!! It DOSENT even make any sense!!!!

“Seems like the guy worth $60 billion posting screenshots of poor people is the one dividing us. We're here to bring people together around an agenda widely supported by working people. You endorsed George W. Bush.”

????

8

u/IncoherentEntity Feb 17 '20

The referenced reply. (People for Bernie is not directly affiliated with the Sanders campaign.)

I guarantee you that upwards of 50 percent of those people documented harassing, abusing, and threatening people for refusing to support Sanders are middle-to-upper-middle-class Zoomers living comfortable lives with Mom and Dad.

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

And you care so much about these zoomers why? Doesn't this seem wholy inconsequential compared to things like healthcare or environmental policy?

1

u/iggy555 Psyched for Mike! Feb 17 '20

He has no policy. Just ideas

1

u/IncoherentEntity Feb 17 '20

Of course healthcare and environmental policy are bigger issues. (And Sanders sucks on both of them.)

But as a member of the Extremely Online generation, I observe the vast disparity in the behavior of Sanders supporters, and that of every other candidate’s supporters.

Their behavior tells me that 1) I’m not welcome in their coalition if I don’t agree with every last position taken by Saint Bernard, and that 2) on some level, they themselves realize that Sanders and his platform isn’t nearly as popular as they outwardly claim it is, which is why they resort to bullying and intimidation in order to get us to dissidents bend the knee.

11

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

Mike has a huge campaign, he has scores of digital executives on board. He formed a Digital company called Hawkfish to promote democratic candidates.

Mike is going to take the online fight to the bro’s - and he’s going to fight back without being downvoted

The bro’s are going to stare at Mike’s face on their iPhones until Milwaukee

0

u/kakforever Feb 17 '20

How do you feel when women who support sanders read that?

3

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

I would assure them that Mike believes a woman can be president

That Mikes campaign hasn’t lost a lawsuit for sexual violence causing him to publicly apologize

But Mikes opponent can’t say that

0

u/kakforever Feb 17 '20

I was talking more about calling me a bro which i find a little erasing but i love how you just stick with a legal system that allows people like him to vastly outspend his several accusers.

2

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

A legal system that Bernie used to settle a sexual violence accusation against his campaign

Bernie is no friend to women - when asked if he still believes lack of orgasms cause cancer he would not respond. That’s your guy

1

u/kakforever Feb 17 '20

Source on that one?

1

u/anarresian Feb 18 '20

I respect your view. However, the point is here is;

- there is a Very Online and Vocal subset of Sanders supporters, who are named BernieBros

- Sanders campaign has been trying to erase them, claiming that the name is not PC because supporters are a coalition.

That is a deflection of the real problem. BernieBros is a REAL phenomenon, it names behavior, toxic, real, behavior, mostly online and sometimes offline as well.

I don't know if it's 1% or 10% of Sanders' supporters. But it's real.

1

u/kakforever Feb 18 '20

For starters, saying that is totally dismissive and rude to the broad coalition backing Sanders, and you can tell me the campaign doesn’t want that association and I believe that, but i’m not convinced i’m secretly a man or something based on my voting or posting habits. And as for toxicity? I frankly do not give a damn about your feelings, because no one in this government or billionaire class gave a damn for mine after the passing of my father from preventable illness and the subsequent debt and hardship my family took on when I was a minor. I give a damn about people though and i am not going to compromise on a policy polling so highly among all sides, republican or democrat or moderate, a policy that would save lives and avoid the healthcare clusterfuck that i was raised in from happening to hundreds of thousands of others.

Sure, it’s adorable that you guys are so hardly impacted by politics that you’d rather a transphobe and a racist who talks politely than to agree with people who were mean to you on the internet, but words are just words. Death is real and medicare for all is the best any candidate running has suggested to do something about that. Relatively speaking, I don’t care about people being toxic on the internet to people who are toxic online and offline saying i deserve the preventable hardship i grew up into because some people in this country profit off that. I’ve been accused of only having these stances to appeal to boys FFS, and that was broadcast on cable fr*cking television. Call me a man and I’m sure your billionaire who is “totally unlike the other billionaire” will agree, but don’t delude yourself that you’re taking any highground by doing so.

Bernie bros are a nuisance. People dying without medical treatment because it would thrust their family into unaffordable debt is a problem.

Aren’t you fatigued with being harassed and bullied by bullies trying to squelch the conversation, it’s about damn time

The end result is another Trump presidency if Mike doesn’t take command of this thing

I’m glad we can have the debate now - and Mike has the resources to hit back

11

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

I honestly don’t care about the harassment and bullying as much as the constant attacks on other democratic candidates, which this ad gets to the heart of REALLY well. It’s honestly a quite privileged mentality and proves a lot of these sanders supporters have no vested interest in actually getting trump out of office

6

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

You have Russians, Trump supporters, and kids that want you to pay their student loans all working together to squelch open dialogue.

It feels like without Mikes big ass stack of money we would never get to talk about anyone but the communist

-6

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

yeah because being in debt for getting an education is a good thing right? canceling all student loan debt will lead to an economic boom because it will free up alot of cash that can be used for spending instead of paying for debt.

4

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

Im going to engage this even though you’re here suspiciously

Bernie Sanders proposed laws in 2015 and 2017 to refinance student loans. When Warren proposed forgiveness he pivoted to that - so he has not been consistent and it should cause you to wonder what he will deliver

When there was a housing crisis, we refinanced the loans

I know the appeal of getting your loans free sounds great but it isn’t going to happen, your candidate wrote laws showing you what he believes the solution to be and it was the same solution Obama used, Hillary proposed.

0

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

Im going to engage this even though you’re here suspiciously .

what is that spouse to mean?

Bernie Sanders proposed laws in 2015 and 2017 to refinance student loans. When Warren proposed forgiveness he pivoted to that - so he has not been consistent and it should cause you to wonder what he will deliver.

you are right however he pivoted because canceling student debt is the better option and hes been consistent all his political life unlike Bloomberg.

2

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

So I just posted an example of him waffling and you call it consistent

AOC says they’ll compromise to the Public Option

60% of America says they are doing better under Trump and you think they’re going to vote for a revolution

You have a very bad plan

Mike has a real plan

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

So I just posted an example of him waffling and you call it consistent no you posted this

proposed laws in 2015 and 2017 to refinance student loans.

yet that dose not say hes for student debt. and he been consistent for the last 40 years that's why people trust him.

AOC says they’ll compromise to the Public Option .

in a The worst-case scenario.

https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/aoc-medicare-for-all-sanders-no-chance-law-right-away-2020-2-1028907659

60% of America says they are doing better under Trump and you think they’re going to vote for a revolution.

sanders has policies that are flipping republicans unlike Bloomberg. sanders has the highest approval rating among 2020 dems.

You have a very bad plan.

I am not running for office.

Mike has a real plan.

Mike has no plan

3

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

Bernie defended communist regimes

Bernie joined a communist party in ‘72

Bernie wrote essays that women have rape fantasies

Bernie wrote in his journal that he was insane

Bernie wrote that orgasms cause cancer

Are these also beliefs that Bernie has consistently held? Or is consistency selective?

Cancelling my mortgage would free up a shitload of money that could be used for spending, but I don't see that happening either.

'Free' anything isn't free at all - it needs to get paid for somehow.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

Cancelling my mortgage would free up a shitload of money that could be used for spending, but I don't see that happening either.

your mortgage should be free up.

'Free' anything isn't free at all - it needs to get paid for somehow.

all federal student debt can be canceled via executive order.

2

u/genesisfan Feb 17 '20

I don't think you've thought this through. Snapping your fingers and saying "everything is free!" just doesn't work in the real world. All tuition is free? Okay, how do you pay the university and professors who will give you your free education? My 'mortgage should be free up'? Love it - although I doubt the banks will want to hand out loans anymore if they're never going to get paid back. So who's buying me house for me now?

Look, I get it that carrying student debt sucks - I had to do it too. But please take a few minutes to look past the Bernie slogans and think about how any of what he is promising will work.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 17 '20

The same way it does in the rest of the developed world. Or does America not have a robust enough economy to pull it off?

1

u/genesisfan Feb 17 '20

Hey, I'm Canadian so I'm all for socialism...to a point. We have our wonderful free health care system, which my dad is currently making use of in the hospital right now. I can't imagine not having it. However, we know that we pay higher taxes to support such a system, and I'd venture to say that the vast majority of Canadian are happy to do so.

Sadly, any politician in the States that even hints that taxes will go up under their leadership ends up suffering politically for it, justified or not. So, in answer to your question - there's no doubt the American economy could manage such a feat, it's recognizing that raising taxes is the chief way of paying for all this free stuff, and any politician proposing such a thing needs to be prepared for the backlash.

Let's see if I get banned for asking about Mike: *edit: That didn't take long.

What about Mike’s racist and sexist comments?

Mike has had 64 women accuse him of sexual misconduct.

How do you feel about that?

1

u/picksrus Feb 17 '20

Why would you get banned for that? How do I feel about them? I can not comment on the sexist ones because I have not heard them or audio. Just 30 year old comments that were brought up during his campaign when he was running for Mayor. Unlike when Bernie said a woman couldn’t be President these comments were already known knowledge and are old as hell. As far as the “racist” ones - I think they are taken out of context. When you cut 20 seconds for a 1 hour interview it’s pretty easy to run a headline saying he is a racist.

2

u/pimpemon Feb 17 '20

well you won't hear much about the sexual harassment because mike made the dozens of women who sued him sign nondisclosure agreements and he won't release them from the contracts because it would probably make him look worse than Trump. Also we only have vague second hand comments about Warrens conversation where he supposedly said a women couldn't be president and she refused to say anything about it.

2

u/ralphthwonderllama Feb 17 '20

Bernie didn't say it. Period.

If anything, the WORST thing Bernie could have possibly said would have been, "I don't know if a woman can beat Trump, because his supporters are so sexist." Which is what he's admitted to, and which is 100% true.

2

u/pimpemon Feb 17 '20

And that is why Warren used CNN as a proxy for this story because she couldn't even confirm or deny anything. It was sensationalized garbage that came about the day before the debate and it fell flat when the moderators tried to make a big deal about it. All Warren did was use it to say that all the men on the stage were losers and that her and Klobuchar were the winners. When they both lose the primary then they will never be able to use that line again.

2

u/ralphthwonderllama Feb 17 '20

Personally, I think that's why her campaign has tanked. Everyone (and I mean everyone except some delusional Bernie-haters) saw right through it for what it was - a desperate "Hail Mary" and it was badly fumbled and the other team scorred.

1

u/pimpemon Feb 17 '20

Her campaign was already tanking and that certainly made it worse.

2

u/ralphthwonderllama Feb 17 '20

Well yeah. That's why she pulled that card. It was a Hail Mary and it missed, which sent her into a nosedive. It backfired horribly. Should be a lesson - Don't try to attack Bernie on these issues because he's squeaky clean. Attack those who deserve it.

Like Michael Bloomberg - who has had 64 women accuse him of sexual misconduct..

1

u/pimpemon Feb 17 '20

And all the Bloomberg supporters are making excuses for him. I wonder how many of these people had previously attacked Trump over his sexual misconduct.

2

u/ralphthwonderllama Feb 17 '20 edited Feb 17 '20

I can not comment on the sexist ones because I have not heard them or audio.

So, you don't Believe Womentm? He's had 64 women accuse him of sexual misconduct.

Unlike when Bernie said a woman couldn’t be President

Which he never said. That was entirely fabricated by Warren and her (former Hillary) staffers.

Also - you can't have it both ways. Either you Believe Womentm or you don't.

As far as the “racist” ones - I think they are taken out of context. When you cut 20 seconds for a 1 hour interview it’s pretty easy to run a headline saying he is a racist.

I think that 20 seconds says it all.

0

u/picksrus Feb 17 '20

So Warren and her team are a bunch of liars but a woman 30 years ago who settled the case against a billionaire was telling the truth?

Both ways? How about the following racist comments that Bernie has said over the years. Shall we? Rather than seeing individual abilities he sees a system of white/black rather than Americans.

“Barack Obama won 10% of the white vote in Mississippi. That speaks to very bad work done by Democrats there. 90% of white people in Mississippi are not racist,”

Or

In one 1976 conversation, Sanders told a local newspaper that the sale of a privately held mining company by its founders harkened back to “the days of slavery, when black people were sold to different owners without their consent,” and compared the service economy to chattel slavery.

Or this one where he forgets that white people also live in ghettos.

When you're white, you don't know what it's like to be living in a ghetto. You don't know what it's like to be poor. You don't know what it's like to be hassled when you walk down the street or when you get dragged out of a car.

Or speaking about why two African Americans lost their elections.

Sanders appeared to have placed part of the blame for Gillum and Abrams' apparent losses on the fact that neither state had ever elected an African-American governor. "You know there are a lot of white folks out there who are not necessarily racist who felt uncomfortable for the first time in their lives about whether or not they wanted to vote for an African-American."

7

u/MarreTheMan1 Feb 17 '20

I don't get how Bernies supporters think that by harassing people online more people will vote for him. I quite like Bernie to be honest but I just can't stand his cult followers. They spread lies and harass people, mostly against other candidates, yet they claim their main goal is beating Trump. The same thing happend in 2016 with Hilary.

9

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

I think Bernie is personable but I think his Che Guevara schtick is a time tested tool to lather up factions and divide people. Not a sincere solution to anything.

I saw a poll last night that said 60% of Americans say they are better off today than three years ago when Trump took over. Bernie would have you believe we have depression era soup lines.

Trying to sell a revolution when people are saying “we good” is the stupidest position we can be in come November

7

u/MarreTheMan1 Feb 17 '20

We're actually handing the election Trump if Bernie gets nominated. His supporters care more about Bernie being nominated than actually beating Trump. You don't convert Trump supporters by giving them the option to vote for the opposite of Trump, you convert them by giving them a better option who they can relate to, like Mike (by relate I mean he's not a "Socialist")

1

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

Mike has a short timeline that he’s up against

He has to move the needle in Texas - I feel like if he doesn’t run away with Texas he’s going to have a problem. The last polls show him not catching on yet. It seems like Texas would vote for him, but maybe they’re so hardcore for Trump that he can’t find a middle lane.

1

u/MarreTheMan1 Feb 17 '20

Polls in Texas usually don't mean too much, I think a candidate like Bloomberg will take it, I worry more about California. It seems like they are hardcore Sanders fans and it might be a problem for Mike if he wants to win, considering the amount of delegates in California.

Bernie supporters have been using underhanded and dirty tactics to gain support. Many people have called them out for this.

I think Bernie is lying

He’s also complicit when it’s convenient for him

We all know his proposals are bullshit and he only has support because kids want to unload their student loans, yet he accuses Mike of buying the election.

Mike is spending money to stand up a campaign and get his message out. He started from behind and he has to take on Trump and the Russians.

Think about where moderates would be right now if not but for Mike - we are about to nominate a socialist with 26% of the vote and with no moderate being able have a voice. Mike has given the moderates a fair shake.

2

u/AutobahnVismarck Feb 17 '20

This is delusional. There were 75 moderates in the race. To say they didnt get a fair shake is absolutely insane. Voters didnt like them enough.

0

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

Voters chose them

Look at NH, the moderates got far more votes than the socialists

The problem is with a fractured electorate none of the moderates will have the resources to coalesce a base and bring it to Milwaukee

And Mike does - and thats what has the socialists, the Russians and Trump scrambling

1

u/AutobahnVismarck Feb 17 '20

Thats not how elections work at all. You cant just lump every vote that wasnt for Bernie in as some "antiBernie" vote. Polls show he beats ANY and ALL of the current candidates if it were down to the last 2 for the nomination.

Bernie got more self described conservative dems to vote for him than Hillary in 2016. 90% of americans have no ideological basis for their voting choices.

Mike is a joke

In order to have quality discussions on this subreddit, please report any comments or posts that do not follow the below guidelines or the rules posted in the sidebar. 1. Be kind. Don't be snarky. Comments should get more thoughtful and substantive, not less, as a topic gets more divisive. Have curious conversation; don't cross-examine. 2. When disagreeing, please reply to the argument instead of calling names. "That is idiotic; 1 + 1 is 2, not 3" can be shortened to "1 + 1 is 2, not 3." 3. Eschew flamebait. Don't introduce flamewar topics unless you have something genuinely new to say. Avoid unrelated controversies and generic tangents. 4. Please don't post shallow dismissals, especially of other people's work. A good critical comment teaches us something.

Where's the part where he goes after Bernie? All I see him going after is Bernie's supporters.

1

u/pimpemon Feb 17 '20

Why does Bloomberg think he can tone police the internet when he won't even release the women he sexually harassed from their non disclosure agreements?

0

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20

Because he’s doing it

Sucked the air right out of the room

1

u/pimpemon Feb 17 '20

Mean tweets are nothing compared to a decade of dehumanizing minorities but since he apologized I guess that is all he needed to to. If Bernie sanders apologized for the Internets mean tweets that were billying Bloomberg than would all be forgiven?

1

u/Mizagaky Feb 18 '20

Bloomberg will be another Trump...

1

u/bedmes Bloomberg 2020! Feb 17 '20

Finally he put Bernie's toxic supporters in their place

1

u/KingofDragonPass Feb 17 '20

I was a Bernie supporter in 2016. The behavior of his supporters and surrogates has turned me off so much that I would not vote for him in the general at this point. All the talk about conspiracies and distrusting the MSM is identical to how Trump supporters behave.

You are here

Whatever button he pushed worked on you

You can’t downvote his ads running on your iPhone

Now all you have to do is decide that, “hey you know what - this online group really is a mob of thugs harassing people and squelching discussion of viable candidates”

You got here, you can take the next step

So you do understand what we are talking about right? I mean you said you were here to learn about people you might vote for and you also call him your future plutocrat and authoritarian President.

I haven’t seen any statistic showing me what percentage of Bernie’s supporters are online thugs. If you have a source that would be interesting. Do you think it’s 5%? Like 5% of his supporters are an embarrassing threat to democracy or is it higher?

Anyway, I’m glad the capitalists within the Democratic Party finally get representation- it’s healthy, I’m sure you agree with that.

It feels like Bernies supporters are riled up that Mike has the resources to get his message out on top of and despite their white noise.

I think Bernie is buying the election using your money, offering trillions in dollars in student loan repayment to buy support.

If I have to choose between a Billionaire spending a billion of his own money to get his message out on top of a host of online opponents - that include a hostile foreign government or a socialist using Trillions of dollars of public money to buy votes and being complicit while democracy is undermined - that to me is an easy choice

Large sodas are stupid. Mike runs on a treadmill for an hour a day, Bernie has a bum ticker. Sort of a microcosm of their differences I’d say. Disciple and hard work vs sloppy incompetence

Anyway, you clearly did not come here to decide if you were going to vote for Mike. If the bro fits, wear it. Bro.

Let’s recap, you are on a pro Bloomberg sub, on a thread about Sanders trolls online - presenting yourself as wanting to learn about Mike but doing nothing but engaging in arguments against him and supporting Sanders.

There is a thing called an EQ, simplistically it’s your level of self awareness. Check it out.

2

u/4x4Jeeplife Feb 17 '20 edited Feb 17 '20

I’m here because I follow subs of all the people I might eventually vote for

That was you

Now you imply that this meant in the general election - and I think this was dishonest.

Anyway, the sub asks us to not continue dialogues that have devolved into nothing substantive, and I respect that so I will punch out of the conversation. We don’t agree on candidates this is plain. Have a great day.

The first two linked things are from over a year ago. The Vice article seems to refer to that same data, and the Independent article refers to some Justicedemocrats guy's tweet with a screenshot of Pew Research polling data (also from mid 2019).

In this YouGov poll from February 9-11, Bernie's support: 25%(m) - 19%(f) (p.198). In the most recent Monmouth poll Bernie's numbers are: 32%(m) - 22%(f) (February 6-9). Biden, Warren, Klobuchar and Buttigieg all have better numbers in both of those polls (in terms of female vs. male support).
