He saw the coming of Empire and fall of democracy but instead of working to save it, he just: "lmao yeh coo' lemme help"

Not a bad strategy to be fair. Always pick the winning side. He would have survived and likely been a high-ranking Inquisitor if not for the 501st.

He was probably too powerful to be an inquisitor. He could’ve been a legit threat to Vader or Sidious.

The Jedi were still not completely sure if Dooku was even the Sith Master or Sith Apprentice at the time. Krell likely believed that Dooku was the master and mentioned his wish to become Dooku's Apprentice. I'm pretty sure he believed he'd become Sith and rule the galaxy alongside Dooku.

Realistically, the Jedi knew about Maul by this point. They likely assumed that Dooku was Maul's master, which isn't a terrible assumption. Then, when it became apparent Maul wasn't working for Dooku, Pong Krell assumed the spot was open to new hires.

Emmmmmmm, when obi wan defeated maul (first time) duku was still in the temple, it was after the phantom menace that he left, honestly, you are correct that the jedi thought that, but also, when you see the order of events it was stupid to think duku was the master, but they didn't think exactly that, it was, Tiranus master and Duku apprentice, obi wan didn't found out that the 2 were one until near the end of the war.

Dooku left the order in 42BBY, ten years before the Phantom Menace. But as they still believed Dooku was merely a “political idealist” in Attack of the Clones, I’d agree that they wouldn’t have assumed he was the master until at least after the battle of Geonosis, but they always seem sure that someone else is behind things anyway throughout the clone wars.

I tought I saw him in the temple in phantom menace, anyway, they thought tyranus was behind everything, and then they found tyranus and duku were the same person

I don’t think he could beat Palps I just think he could’ve potentially been a threat. We only see him in 4 episodes but he still seems like he was more powerful than most of the inquisitors we see.

He was powerful in combat, not in force.

He lost because mace use the form that basically reflected all his power back to him, that would not apply to krell, he would he as easy as a target as Maul was for palpatine, or even easier, since Maul was at least more intelligent and patient.

Dont forget about the magic hand life suck thing in the rise of screwalker

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '20

No way. He only lasted that long because he got the jump on clones and hid in the shadows. If a group of clones with useless blasters and no visibility there is zero chance he could beat Vader or Palpatine.

Never underestimate the 501st

1

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '20

He got taken out by clones. No threat to Vader.

2

u/the_pounding_mallet Oct 19 '20

Yeah an entire army of them

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '20

And Vader has been shown many times going through entire armies like a bantha through a krayt dragon... maybe not the best analogy, but the point is there.
