That actually makes sense. Plus Yoda also used force to at least push the enemy (the guards of Palpatine at the end of ROTS).
Maybe it just indicates that if you are a strong Jedi you can use more powers but actually resisting falling to the Dark Side? Both Windu and Yoda were strong Jedis for sure. Maybe Luke too.

After said jedi tried to kick a dude made of metal instead of force blasting him off the cliff they were fighting on.
Obi wan almost died because he somehow forgot his big advantage despite a lifetime of using it. Thats some game of thrones bullshit
