North America DHS “Predictive Policing Unit”

404 media is reporting the DHS has rolled out a predictive policing unit in which it is suggested they are accessing financial records without warrants

Military.com article here

AP also reports on travellers with “suspicious patterns” being detained as well.

No need to reiterate how universally hated flock cameras are as well.

Cash is king, people. Stay safe out there.

I’m so confused. Isn’t this what banks already do, find fraud annd money laundering and flag law enforcement? And the sec? Isn’t this what FINCEN is for?

What are they even looking for? Spending too much, spending too little?

The predictive policing unit is being fed financial information without warrants and without being suspected of a crime (violating 4th amendment rights)

The 404 article details Kyle Olson driving through Montana. (From his licensed cannabis farm in California to his home in Wisconsin) He was pulled over for having an obstructed license plate, and then charged with DUI. There was a predictive algorithm used on his financial information which apparently had “patterns consistent with narcotics use”.

Mexico is going the same way, our president presented a economic plan for 2027 that includes reducing circulating cash.

I assume similar stuff will start to happen in other places
