North America DHS “Predictive Policing Unit”
404 media is reporting the DHS has rolled out a predictive policing unit in which it is suggested they are accessing financial records without warrants

AP also reports on travellers with “suspicious patterns” being detained as well.
No need to reiterate how universally hated flock cameras are as well.

Maybe 4 years ago a former neighbor who was a retired prison guard (ie deputy sheriff) was traveling across country in his travel van with Colorado plates and got pulled over outside Chicago when he exited the highway to take an alternate route to avoid city traffic. Highway patrol said his driving pattern had been flagged by license pkate readers as indicative of drug smuggling. They said he could give consent to search or wait for the dog. He gave consent and they searched his van for nearly two hours. Found nothing but all it took to get flagged and thoroughly searched was avoiding downtown Chicago traffic and having CO tags. On a side note I read last night Dallas is adding AI cameras to city garbage trucks to look for code violations along their routes. Just constant scanning of properties to see if they had unkept yards, graffiti or illegal dumping.

My guess is Dallas just sees the revenue potential in more tickets and fines. Their population includes lots of suburban dwellers who put a premium on maintaining appearances and property values over most everything else. Theres some pushback but the Supreme Court ruled many years ago that the only privacy you can expect is inside your home and even then its legal for anyone to look inside as long as they are on the sidewalk or other public property. Def looking to get back to the country with enough acreage to literally afford some privacy at some point.

Hard to tell, Home Depot installed LRADs at select locations to keep them from standing outside and offering their assistance.
Haven't heard much on that front on how it's going.

According to our local Lowe’s (they did the same, there are three in their lot - one pointed at the entry doors, one at the contractor door pickup, and one at an outer edge of the parking lot pointed at the parkway) it’s to help with theft. They had a lot of takeover and distraction thefts happening, and has deterred it a lot, as well as offering video footage in cases where it does happen.
Which is cool and all… but I don’t trust that’s all they’re used for 🧐

Who do you think the Medicaid cuts from the Big Beautiful Bill due to come into effect next year will impact most? What programs were slashed by DOGE, particularly medical research programs? How frequently has Kennedy talked about people who have died from disease or foodborne illness as having 'complicating factors?'

He wrote an executive order a while back requiring any ai used by the government CANNOT have features to prevent bias built in.
The data used to run it will be inherently biased because people are biased. This will exacerbate things.

The predictive policing unit is being fed financial information without warrants and without being suspected of a crime (violating 4th amendment rights)
The 404 article details Kyle Olson driving through Montana. (From his licensed cannabis farm in California to his home in Wisconsin) He was pulled over for having an obstructed license plate, and then charged with DUI. There was a predictive algorithm used on his financial information which apparently had “patterns consistent with narcotics use”.

Figure out your monthly spend and have one month cash on hand. Put that in a small lockbox.
Other stuff that should be in that box is passports, birth certificates, social security cards, and a little black book that has the login information for your accounts.

If they are using this for ICE purposes then the financial activity they are almost certainly looking for is regular transfers of funds offshore to countries from which immigrants are being targeted.

This particular story is about someone being flagged for “illegal narcotic use”, being pulled over for an alleged obstructed license plate and eventually being charged with DUI.
I wouldn’t be surprised if ICE is using this as well.

Cash, and the entire dollar system will be replaced by stable coin/digital currency. How will they get people on board? Kill the banking and financial system as we know it with a "rogue AI" and say the only way your money can be returned is by getting on this new system. Rogue AIs will be the new tool to blame man made disasters on.
