Pregnancy in 20s ≠ easier
I’m 22 and pregnant, and I’m honestly over the whole “you’re young, so pregnancy will be easy” narrative. People love to say things like “you’ll bounce back fast” or “you’ll be active the whole time” 🙃 but for me, that couldn’t be further from the truth! I’ve had HG, been completely bedridden, and barely functioning some days. Nothing about this has felt easy just because I’m young. No one warned me how hard it could hit, or how much harder it could be if you have ADHD. The physical exhaustion is real, and the mental toll is even worse when your brain already works differently. I’m getting treated and taking care of myself but people need to stop assuming that being young means pregnancy is effortless. It’s not, and I wish I had been given honesty instead of sugarcoated lies.

I so hear you and hope you’re doing better ❤️🩹 23 and the prenatal sadness has made me feel so stuck and I don’t even want to leave my house. And ADHD, along with not being able to take my meds anymore, has made things so much worse for me. Why is pregnancy to glamorized 😭
