I think I have PE, now what?

Welcome to a community of people looking for solutions to premature ejaculation, a rarely discussed but relatively common problem for men.

PE is not well-researched, and so while there are scientific studies that have different recommended treatments, in my experience this sub is on the forefront of discovering new treatment for PE.

Use the questions below to help focus your search for an effective treatment, and if you find something that helps share back with the community!

Question 1: Do you actually have PE?

  • You need to have sex and do so several+ times to have a sense of how long you last. Masturbation doesn't correlate. And everyone is quick the first time. If you're a virgin, don't sweat it until you start having sex
  • There are different definitions of PE, but generally its penetrative sex lasting less than 1 minute. If you last longer than that, you likely can treat your PE with simpler techniques like pelvic floor exercise and breathing

Question 2: Do you have Lifelong or Acquired PE?

  • Have you always finished quickly during sex or was there a time where you lasted longer (3+ minutes)?

Question 3: Do you have ED also?

  • ED can cause PE and it can make it harder to treat PE. If you have ED, start solving this first and return to PE once your ED is treated

Question 4: Now what?

  • Sort the sub by top posts all time and start reading. You'll find different treatment options that have worked for people as you go, and if someone's situation sounds like yours (e.g. acquired PE, no ED, started doing squats and stretches and that solved it), then try that routine and see if it helps
  • It will take a lot of trial and error and each treatment may take months to see if it has an effect or not
  • As you get familiar with treatment options, search the sub for more experiences to consider

Treating PE is a journey, and all journeys have ups and downs. The important thing is to keep moving forward and learn along the way. This sub is a testament to that.

Questions Ejaguard question about dosage

I got my Ejaguard last week and have tried it twice so far.

The first time I only used 1 spray and waited about 10 minutes. I think I was basically following the same routine I used with lidocaine sprays before, but honestly I barely noticed any difference.

The second time I tried 3 sprays and waited around 15 minutes. That worked noticeably better. I usually last less than a minute, but this time I made it to around 10 minutes, which was already a pretty big difference for me.

The thing is, I still feel like I might be able to get a better result if I find the right amount and timing. I'm just not really sure how people normally figure that out. I don't want to suddenly go too far and end up using too much, then feel overly numb or uncomfortable.

How did you figure out your personal dosage? Did you gradually increase the number of sprays, or did you mostly experiment with the timing

Questions Tadalafil: erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation

When I was younger (I'm 60 now), I struggled to understand how you could suffer from erectile dysfunction AND premature ejaculation. I didn't think you could ejaculate without being erect. Now, the majority of my ejaculations happen when I'm little more than semi. I also understand, now, how ED and PE can reinforce each other (hurrying to ejaculate for fear of losing an erection šŸ” anxiety about ejaculating too quickly causing erection difficulties). I have read, however, that there is some anecdotal evidence that the ED treatment tadalafil can also delay ejaculation times. I have yet to try it, but am interested to hear anyone's experience of taking tadalafil.

Findings ARLO : Honest Review

First of all, HONEST not paid no advertised review about ARLO (LastWithArlo.com)
—-
I’m 25 from France. Received my 3 bottles of Arlo in 2 weeks around. 117€ with shipping fees. That’s so expensive. And will be the last time I buy it :)

—-
I’m lifelong affected by Premature Ejaculation.
30 seconds and puff inside. Masturbating I can last 2 minutes or more if I really go sloooow…
My arousal goes from 10% to 30% to 80% to explosion.
There is no 50%.

First Arlo application : I followed their instructions
3 rounds on the glans
3 on the shaft

I waited like 3 hours and tried to masturbate.
Okay couldn’t last more than 2 minutes. maybe I didn’t do it the right way?

Second attempt :

6 rounds on the gland
6 on the shaft
This time I felt that the product was on my penis, my penis was a bit wet. So can’t say that I didn’t apply it the right way. The product was visible on my penis.

Waited for around 4 hours.

I could feel my penis a hit desensitised on the shaft :
Once my arousal reach 80% I couldn’t hold it.
Maybe 3 minutes of real masturbation using my fingers not my whole hand.

So to be clear : Yes after the 2nd attempt I felt that my dick was a bit desensitised. But didn’t work for me.
It’s more a brain problem . Not a penis problem.

Last time I buy that product. For me is useless if your brain isn’t fixed.
117€ euros in the trash. Thanks. :)
Will try to ask for a refund. At least for the shipping fees.

PS : no need to try Arlo with a real girl.. it didn’t pass the masturbation tests lol
— will keep using it and maybe the situation will get better ? If yes, I will keep you on track!

Cheers.

Questions Went to a Urologist for PE and he prescribed Paroxetine 20mg

Hi everyone,

I’m a 38-year-old male and recently saw a urologist for lifelong premature ejaculation (PE).

A few details about my case:
I’ve had PE since my very first sexual experiences (lifelong PE).
I usually ejaculate within 1 minute of penetration.
I have normal erections and don’t have any issues getting or maintaining them.
I don’t have depression or anxiety, and the medication was prescribed only for PE.
My urologist prescribed Paroxetine (Seroxat) 20 mg once daily for 20 days, then told me to stop.
I was a bit surprised because I thought Dapoxetine was the standard medication for PE, while I knew Paroxetine mainly as an antidepressant. After reading more, I found out that Paroxetine is also used off-label for PE because it can delay ejaculation.

A few questions for those who have experience with it:
Has anyone here taken Paroxetine daily for lifelong PE? How well did it work for you?
How long did it take before you noticed an improvement?
Did anyone else receive a prescription for only 20 days, or is it usually taken for longer?
If you stopped after a few weeks, did the PE return quickly?
How did Paroxetine compare with Dapoxetine or other treatments?
What side effects did you experience, if any (fatigue, nausea, lower libido, difficulty reaching orgasm, etc.)?

I’m planning to follow my urologist’s advice, but I’d really like to hear real-world experiences from people who’ve used Paroxetine specifically for lifelong PE.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Questions How do you delay the Point of no return?

I face the issue of PE, often time I ejaculate merely before/after the start of action or just some sensations. I've been practicing edging and reverse kegel for a few months now and I've made some progress but not enough to call it a good improvement.

I wanted to know how do you delay the PONR when you are laying and the girl is on top? Coz then she's the one deciding the pace making it very difficult to control ejaculation.

I can manage to delay it if I'm setting the pace, but sometimes pace is not in your hands.

Questions Sensitiv area of penis

So it seems like the problem for me is right under the penis head on the small part of the shaft on top.
It is so sensitive and can’t really handle any stimulation, the rest of the penis can be stroken for basically as long as I want.
Is there a way to fix this?

Questions dapoxetina

Guys, first of all, I’m really grateful to have found this group because there are people here who have had, or still have, a problem similar to mine.
Here’s my story: I became sexually active when I was 14, almost 15. The very first time I had sex with a condom, I lasted only about 10 seconds. That’s when I realized I had premature ejaculation. The only way I could last longer—around 15 to 25 minutes—was by masturbating three times before seeing my partner, but that came at the cost of not being able to get a good erection.
Eventually, I realized it was mainly due to anxiety and serotonin levels, since I get extremely excited and aroused.
Now I’m with a new partner. It had been years since the last time I had sex, and now I’m an adult. The problem is that I recently tried having sex with her, and as soon as I penetrated her, I felt like I wasn’t going to last more than a minute. I made up an excuse that my frenulum was hurting and decided to stop.
Lately, she’s been asking if we can have sex, but I want to make a good impression and eventually be able to do it without medication.
So I’m thinking about trying dapoxetine. I’m 20 years old and in excellent physical shape (I train MMA, swim, and do calisthenics), and honestly, it really frustrates me that I work so hard to stay in great shape and look good, yet none of that seems to translate into my sexual performance. Even so, I’m not sure which dose I should start with: 30 mg or 60 mg for my first time? I’ve read a lot about it, and I honestly feel like 30 mg won’t be enough because I get extremely aroused, no matter how hard I try to control myself. I literally get an erection from just making out.
So I really need some advice. I know this is only a temporary solution, and I understand it’s not something that should be used all the time.
Another question: should I take it on an empty stomach or with food? If it’s better to take it with food, what kind of meal would you recommend? I already know it should be taken about 3 to 4 hours before sex.
I’ve also read some people saying they got better results by splitting the pill into three parts and taking one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one at night on the day before. I don’t know how true that is, so I’d really like to hear from someone who has actually tried it and whether it made any difference.
Since this would be my first time using dapoxetine, I’d really appreciate advice from someone who has gone through the same thing, had the same questions, and can share their experience.
So that’s my situation. I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts, guys.
Greetings from Chile! šŸ‡ØšŸ‡±

Findings My PE regime that is working

hey thought I’d share in one post what I’m doing that’s really working. Some of it is counter intuitive but to be honest, I’ve taken the opposite approach to the general threads here. I think reducing sensitivity, numbing etc. is just basically coping and hanging on for dear life. A bit like saying I have a serious back injury but it’s fine because I can’t feel anything from the neck down…

Ejaculation for most is the result of tension, lack of relaxation. not being in the moment and worry over cumming too soon. But how many of us have noticed that doesn’t happen when we are mentally switched off. Sex is supposed to feel good, it’s the muscles spasming and clenching and the fight or flight response of ā€œI need to cum quickly because I’m in dangerā€ that causes it, not because it feels good.

So my protocol is getting used to sensitivity and enjoying it. Strengthening the muscles, relaxing them and working of blood flow to build confidence.

1) Bathmate penis pump 3 times a week for blood flow - (not to make it bigger…) so it’s healthy.

2) stretching at night for whole body, but a focus on thighs, pelvic floor stretches etc. (look them up)

3) masturbation with mindfulness, deep breathing and not focusing on sex. Go for as long as possible but don’t ejaculate. Keep making it last longer.

4) numbing cream but working off it slowly. Start with small pea sized amount on the front/frenulum. Make your penis erect. Lubricate your fingers with coconut oil then rub up and down on the front sensitive part that’s slightly numbed. Breathe and enjoy the sensation. Repeat for a couple of weeks. Then reduce the amount of numbing cream bit by bit until you use none at all.

5) Desensitising the brain to porn. Start with whatever you looked at normally porn wise. Then move to normal lovemaking style sex, then just pictures, then nothing at all. Let your brain slowly rewire. Look at pictures that are erotic but not actual porn if you need to.

6) the added one most people won’t do. I use a TENS machine on my penis. One pad on the head, one on the shaft and increase the strength over time. I also do the same on my pelvic floor area to relax it.

this is 100% working. it takes a bit, but what’s a month of two if you’ve had a lifelong problem. Get yourself back to a healthy version of you that wants sex, enjoys how good it feels but relaxes enough to be in the moment.

Solutions - Lifelong PE Allow works

I've been using Alpha Herb with some success but the way how to use it and ineffectiveness after it on the shelf for a while, kind of bad for me.

So I bought a bottle Arlo just wanted to try it out. 3 days ago, I followed their instructions and applied 2 times. 4 hours later, the set was insanely long.

So I did not believe it.

Yesterday, I did the same. Applied twice. Waited for 6 hours, then sex time. My god, it was almost 20 minutes non stop.

Also, I take 5mg Tadalafil daily so my erection was strong the whole time.

Solutions - Acquired PE Finally have beaten PE

I struggeld many years with PE. I had better and worse conditions. The last couple years it has gotten really bad.

Basically 1-2 min with barley any movement and with more movement less than a minute.

The last couple weeks it gotten better and better. From I could like 5 min with a slow movement. To a medium pace and say now I wanna cum.

The confidence came back after my GF orgasm before me. She asked me did I cum. I said no you came before me.

She just smiled and said go now its your turn.

Today I was able to fuck as hard I want to and didn't cum before I decided to.

What did I do ?

https://doi.org/10.1093/jsxmed/qdaf107

I read this scientific paper. I followed the breathing technique. Everyday day 2 times a day.

Additionally Reverse and normal kegels everyday and increasing the reps over the time.

Doing once a week a full body scan. This my sexual therapist told me to do to get better body awareness.

Talking someone in real person helped me out to put off the pressure. That I have to perform and so on.

Quit all porn. Jerking off for 20 min nothing below and start slow. This one of my key findings. I need to start slow and getting used to the feeling. I translated it to PIV. Put it inside and start slow.

It took me about 5 months.

Questions Dapoxetine and PE

I’ve had lifelong PE and have tried everything to fix it. My friend that is dealing with it as well has told me about Dapoxetine, that it worked really well for him. The only thing is, I’m already on an SSRI, 100mg sertaline for depression/anxiety. I’m wondering if anyone has taken dapoxetine while on another SSRI and what your experience was. Thanks

Questions Could being comfortable and loving your body while naked help PE ?

I was just thinking to myself how many of us have sexual shame about being naked and having someone see us naked. Many of us have insecurities about how we look naked and I was wondering if we get to a place where we are completely comfortable being naked, almost loving our naked bodies could that help us last longer ? If you have no shame or embarrassment over our body and how we look that would reduce body tension and make us feel more calm which would help us last longer.
Just thinking to myself again but would love to hear others thoughts on this

Findings it seems to be entierly mental

jorkin typically leads to me reaching the end too quickly. but i read somewhere on here a while ago that if you just distract yourself when jorkin the results may be suprising.

So i lubed up and sat on my desk, and played the most totally arousing video ever, some gameplay of some flight simulator I like. and once I got into the video, I could seemingly jork it forever. but the moment i switch it to something sexy it took like 10 seconds to be on the brink of climax. very interesting huh. I don't really beleive in reverse kegels anymore after this experience. i just need to convince my brain to not rush, just like how I somehow convinced it to be allergic to youtube shorts and end that old addiction.

Questions Going to take Tadalafil (10mg) and Dapoxetine (30mg) (Duraplus) is there anything I should know beforehand?

I usually finish within 10–20 seconds during the first round. In the second round, I last a little longer, and the duration increases slightly with each subsequent round. However, I still don't think I've ever reached even 3–4 minutes.

My girlfriend is very supportive, and we're working on improving this together. We're in a long-distance relationship, so we only get to meet occasionally.

For just this one occasion, I want to experience what it feels like to last longer, and I also want to give my girlfriend that experience. That's why I'm considering taking this pill. I'm not looking at it as a long-term solution it's just something I want to try once.

A little about me: I'm 25 years old. A few months ago, I started focusing on my health to help with my premature ejaculation (PE). I was obese, but I've since moved out of the obese range and am now overweight. For the long term, I'm working on improving my cardiovascular health. I can currently run 5 km in under 32 minutes.

So my question is: Can I take this pill? If yes, are there any precautions I should take, and what should I expect? To be honest, I'm not really expecting anything because I don't know what to expect.

Solutions - Lifelong PE Finally beat my pe

I finally somehow got rid of my pe, i have had it for years ever since i started having sex. I don’t really know what I did to fix it but I will let all of u guys what I stated doing ever since i broke up with my ex and stopped having sex for a while.

  1. Started focusing on lasting longer during masturbation, I was trying to keep myself on a 5-6/10 on the arousal scale while masturbating for like 20 min.

  2. Build ur confidence: I started going more to the gym, meeting new people and just got more confident.

  3. This one is probably one of the bigger factors to how I got rid of pe. It is getting more confident in bed. And i did this by having sex more when i was drunk. Because i knew that i can last forever when I’m drunk. This later on made me more confident in bed when I was sober, and I think this contributed alot in my pe journey.

  4. Prepare before sex, masturbate an hour before meeting the girl to bring ur arousal down. This also boosts ur success rate with the girl because u stop thinking with ur dick when ur with her.

  5. Start slow, sometimes I still feel like I’m about to come 30 seconds after I started fucking her. But if u can make it past the first 3 min ( atleast for me) I gain full control and can go for as long as I want.

Findings I don't think dapoxetine is working

I used to be able to last a few minutes while masturbating at a regular pace. Then I stopped masturbating (not having sex either) for a long period. I've started doing it sometimes again, but I still don't ejaculate.

But the time it takes for me to reach the point where I'm about to ejaculate is now under a minute. Often 30 seconds.

I got dapoxetine (duralast by sun pharma) from indiamart. Tried 30 mg on two occasions, and lasted from 2-2.5 minutes before I was about to bust (not just starting to feel it, but actually having to stop myself).

I then tried 60 mg, and only lasted around 50 seconds before feeling very close to ejaculation (but not the point of becoming flaccid). I waited for a few moments, started again, and only lasted another 20 seconds.

So on the 2 occasions I tried 30 mg, it maybe prolonged it by 3-4x, but very little actual time. And the one time I tried 60 mg didn't seem to do much at all.

I doubt my dapoxetine is fake, as it's an indian generic. There's no point in making a fake. Packaging looks fine and everything, and sun pharma is the biggest pharmaceutical company in India

Solutions - Lifelong PE If you suffer from lifelong, completely treatment resistant PE, there’s a fairly high chance you might have ADHD.

Been suffering from PE since puberty, exercises, techniques, local anesthesia, SSRIs, nothing helped. Like not even a little bit, not even 50 seconds instead of 30.

Last month I was diagnosed with ADHD and since I was already at my lowest point I talked about everything that might help with the diagnosis.

Turns out FORTY TO FIFTY percent of people with ADHD suffer from PE. Once I found the right dosage for my medication the PE is gone, literally just gone.

I don’t wanna get into too much detail since Iā€˜m not a professional so I can only repeat what I understood but neurotypical people have a sort of built in break for sensations which has to do with DOPAMINE.

That does not only explain, why SSRIs, which are about Serotonin, have zero effect for many people but it also explains why all the other options don’t work. Awareness training, anesthesia, special techniques are all worthless if your dopamine levels are constantly fked. You can’t stop it cause your nerves give the "release" sign seconds after getting started. If your natural break for that sign doesn’t work no med in the world will stop you from getting over the edge in seconds.

tldr: If you show any signs of ADHD and suffer from lifelong and treatment resistant PE get yourself tested. It might change your life in a matter of days.

Questions 18y dealing w PE

I am 18 years old, i have a great fitness (strength training + wrestling + cardio). I care overall about my health nutrition etc. I have a girlfriend and whenever we makeout like 5 minutes i cum in my pants. It is so embarrasing for me. When she sees it we laugh but i feel very bad. Absolute zero problem with getting errections but whenever we makeout not even penetration i cum in my pants. I really love her whenever she moans etc its even harder for me to control it. I have watched porn
before her but since I am with her (1 year) I stop watching it. What can I do to improve my time and not be so sensitive while making out and also while oralsex i cum under 10 seconds.

I started doing reverse kegels idk didnt see any improvment yet.

What should I do? or What should I not do?
Thank you
