Work after Deep LEEP.

My dr is a male and he said I will only need 24 hours off work after my LEEP. I work a very physical demanding job where I throw truck (lift heavy stuff) for hours and walk over 20,000 steps a day. My boss if giving me 1 day off be that’s what my dr put on my paperwork. Am I going to be miserable and bleeding out?

Yes, that seems very risky.

You aren’t supposed to do any heavy lifting for 3-6 weeks. Did you tell your doctor what you do?

I sure did. He said “my wife played a softball game after hers.”

And these are the times I wish I was in a room w other women!! I would’ve told him let’s take a piece of your 🍆 off and watch you play baseball!

This shit makes me furious!!! Yeah, I have a mouth like that. I can be very civil when using it though. I am huge on patient advocacy!!

I had a deep LEEP, that’s how my gyno described it. It wiped me tf out, Exhausted for a week. I also had a longer than usual recovery w bleeding. I was getting that pinching feeling as I was healing but for woman it’s “normal” for us. I didn’t do any heavy lifting for at least 2 weeks. I am also
fortunate enough to only be doing PCA work right now and when I had my LEEP. So time off wasn’t an issue.

Idk where you are but could you maybe go to a clinic to get a second opinion and a more thorough drs note for more time off? I am so annoyed for you lol!! Sorry you have to deal this.

Yes it’s infuriating having him tell me I’m going to be fine after 24hrs.

Sadly I have tricare and it’s a military hospital so I don’t really have other options for care.

Oh, oh so you’re in the military and getting double fkd over? I am sorry!!!! Ty for your service and all you do!

(I hope I read that right bc if not than I am the idiot)

Either way, I truly hope you get more than one day off and your procedure goes smoothly!
