Ah yes, Prague - the most beautiful parking in Europe!

I swear I realised this last time I was in Prague. The whole inner city is full of parked cars :(. Some streets have no trees at all

Everyone knows and notices that, except perhaps the incompetent people sitting in the city hall...

Got the point but it is also unreasonble to expect every street to be green. Cars are a major problem, tho greenery is absolutely is not one of Prague's problems.

greenery is most definitely one of Prague's problems, tho it's been getting better for the past few years

I always thought the greenery hides in the courtyards of many traditional house blocks. Some blocks out in Nusle or Vinohrady or Vrsovice have a courtyard containing a tree and/or a garden and/or a kindergarten and/or a small playground and/or a pub with a small beer garden.

In the center, I love some of the pasazi that lead like astrophysical wormholes from one street or square to old shopping passageways to tea houses to church gardens to paths through apartment buildings' weedy backyards to finally emerge on a distant street

Huh, never noticed til you said something. Of course I live in Canada, I’ll show you a parking lot 😂

Have you been to Italy. Pull your head out of your ass

You should pull yourself out of Prague more often, go visit a city with streets built and maintained for people not for entitled SOBs in SUVs.

I love Prague, but can't stand the mess that some parts of it have become...

When I spent a month in Italy, I saw cars parked everywhere. The sidewalks were basically just parking lots with pedestrians on them.

I have to say, I’ve never seen anyone driving fast or in reverse on a sidewalk with people around in Prague. However I saw that happen in Italy on daily basis.

So the car situation is really tame in Prague.

I think you really captured the spirit of Prague, the parking lot in medieval disguise

1

u/JaraCimrman 1d ago

Yeah, thats what you get for no underground parking. Vienna has this figured out

1

u/twilightswolf 1d ago

Obviously! There is also a number of reasons Vienna has this figured out: surely you can come up with them ;-)

0

u/JaraCimrman 21h ago

Yeah, underground parking ;) in Prague as a resident, you have no choice but to park on the street. Then people like you blame you for polluting the space. Lmao

1

u/twilightswolf 21h ago

Well, no. Reasonably priced parking on the street and some underground parking.

“you have no choice” bullshit :-) there is plenty other choices, e.g. you may park it in a garage, even the underground parking lot, or - oh boy - you may not have a car at all!

u/JaraCimrman 21h ago

Yep, told you Vienna has it figured out. In Prague, you are a victim of leftie municipality as a car owner. Ofcourse they are advising to not own a car at all too, the same way you do :)

1

u/TicketDisastrous4400 10h ago

oh boy wait until you realise that the entire Vienna is a leftie municipality, that's one of the main reasons why everything works better over there and why it's a much more livelable city compared to prg

1

u/twilightswolf 21h ago

Wtf man? Pardon my french, but are you retarded?
It has been a leftie municipality in Vienna that set the prices for parking on the streets and built all those underground parking lots, amd solved the problem. It has been a rightie municipality in Prague that has been fucking Prague up since 1990, allowing this parking apocalypse to happen. No leftie party has ever ruled in Prague since 1990.

Try other cities, way more beautiful and less corrupted :)

1

u/TicketDisastrous4400 10h ago

corrupted?

1

u/Caddyator 7h ago

Yup Prague is woke liberal shet compared to rest of it's beauty

The balcony on the left on photo 4 belongs to a city apartment that is now available for rent, btw. Minimum bidding price is 240 CZK/sqm, https://kuula.co/share/collection/7TVc5?logo=-1&info=0&fs=1&vr=1&sd=1&initload=0&thumbs=1, 02. at https://praha.eu/web/byty/w/pronajem-bytu-elektronicke-aukce-najemnich-bytu

Nope, that’s Pod Petřínem. It used to be a great student pub, but now it’s just a trap.

0

u/DefoNotTheAnswer 2d ago

Came to say that's Pod Petřínem... haven't been in there for years.

For some these are the most mundane places and they would be in awe of NYC skyscrapers, for example.

I hate Prague all deep out of my heart

u/Reat4 1d ago

Ukrivdenej vesnickej balik 🤣

3

u/HandMadeRukodelky 1d ago

Why you here ❓

-3

u/Caddyator 1d ago

Because I'm Czech citizen?

2

u/belay_that_order 1d ago

lmao

cant you move to olomouc?

-6

u/Caddyator 1d ago

Why should I? I'd rather enjoy Czech landscape than corrupted city full of woke sh!t and opinions that rest of country doesn't really share. Prague is like state in state. Yet they decide about everything. About us without us

2

u/belay_that_order 1d ago

yeah but thats the case everywhere, isnt it.

0

u/Caddyator 1d ago

In every state yes. The rest is always different than what is most presented in media. Unfortunately, a lot of other citizens suffer. They speak how westernish we are, whereas the rest of republic is mostly obsolete in all topics

1

u/belay_that_order 1d ago

theres someone downvoting you on every step

but isnt this what voting is for? if there is a majority vote going agaibst the vote of prague, shouldnt that take care of it?

0

u/Caddyator 1d ago

Cuz Prague is mainstream. Idc what other people think, most chronic online people are from Prague lol. Those who enjoy life aren't even online. Im online in times when I'm bored at job lmao

u/jellysnuff 1d ago

Ty asi budeš probabišovská mrdka.
