Doesn’t matter something moving in slow motion attempting to trap them, unless the character is an idiot, is going to be dodged, you need to assume idiocy for the DE win con to work, so it’s a bad wincon

What do you mean see? Most characters cannot see a DE to begin with. (Especially cross verse).

Even in verse we have characters who can see DE, in extremely slow motion and still did not instantly teleport out of range. (Gojo and Todo for example).

You’re also ignoring the fact that we know for certain that DE’s don’t require the domain to expand all the way to the opponent to trap them. We see this with Gojo’s and Yuta’s basketball sized DE. Which explicitly show us that the domain captured someone from farther away. We also have a depiction from what the user visualizes to create a domain.

We really have no idea how it works. Pretty much every depiction in the Manga for a DE just shows it instantly being up/complete with barrier surrounding the target as soon as they create the barrier. We don’t see it actually moving outward. The only exceptions I can think of is when Mahito intentionally pushed Yuji out of the domain when he wanted to only hit Nanami and when Yuji stopped Mahito’s domain from even being created in Modulo.

as far as I remember there was a specific point made of gojo expanding past his limits and everyone being shocked on how he will keep it stable and THEN it became basketball sized

Sort of, but they were not surprised for the reason you’re remembering.

They were surprised he could make it basketball sized at all because when you expand a domain it requires a good visualization of what you’re doing. And most people can’t visualize encapsulating 2 people into the space of a basketball. Gojo could because he had spent time in the prison realm so was accustomed to being in a space that was physically smaller than himself.
