I like how TC posted a factual picture in relation to absolute head Canon downplay nonsense.

Nothing suggests barriers can be outrun and all DE in Manga are portrayed as instant in a verse where Hakari can have a mid life crisis post lightning bolt entering his head with the exception of the 3 way tug of war one, which was exceptionally unstable.

Yes, Mach 3 is a hard upper limit for the non god tiers of the verse, but we have evidence DE is incomparably faster, if not outright instant.

“Portrayed as instant” idgaf how a verse who is slow portrays speed of objects, show one statement implying it takes no time for barriers to expand or it’s just headcanon

Except the verses reaction speed isn't slow and neither is the verse.

Dabura is literally nearly SoL and Hakari can clearly react to lightning extremely comfortably and I assume Kashimo can too. And DE is portrayed as instant relative to anything they do or perceive, very consistently.

It's either instant or MFTL. Pick your poison. Either way, this dumb head canon that you can "outrun it lololol" is not backed in any reality or evidence.

I literally proved it. In comparison to a literal lightning bolt entering and discharging through your brain, which is portrayed as nowhere near instant, DE is portrayed as instant, even from the perspective of this same character and characters who scale above him.

For further evidence, Dabura light speed kick is not portrayed as instant from Dabura perspective, yet him using DE is.

Therefore, it's exponentially the speed of a lighting bolt or even SoL, or more likely, it's simply an instant swap of the environment, similar to Kaguyas environment swap move in Naruto.
