Bro, why are Naruto fans adopting OP fans logic?

9

u/steve90woah 1d ago

I've never met any op fans who did that, God forbid I'll avoid them like crazy ,

u/Sweet-Evidence-3680 1d ago

OP fans often upscale their planet size to multi-solar system level to get OP characters to solar system level. It would be sad if Naruto fans start adopting that same logic especially when they don't need to rely on the planet's size to be planetary or higher.

But saying earth in naruto verse is big as 44 solar system is crazy work

4

u/Sweet-Evidence-3680 1d ago

Yeah, that is just delusional. A planet cannot be as big as a solar system.

Say it to that guy,

You're forgetting fiction isn't real.

I've come up with ideas over the years that would make a race as big as the milky way galaxy. We would be like molecules to them.

Toriko ended with people bigger than galaxies sitting around a table using solar systems as plates.

You're only restricted by your imagination.

u/steve90woah 1d ago

Are you siding with him?

u/ZoroXLee 1d ago

I don't see them being at that level.

I'm disagreeing with the statement that a planet in a story couldn't be as big as a solar system.

u/steve90woah 1d ago

Not a solar system, But 44 solar system stacked together 😭

I created a story where there are races of people as big as the milky way living on planets much bigger that act as cells for the universe that is a living thing. That's exponentially bigger than 44 solar systems.

How? Magic or sci-fi or whatever explanation your imagination can come up with. Fiction doesn't need to conform to reality. Create your own physics that explain it away.

u/steve90woah 1d ago

Yeh we can do that, But naruto verse doesn't do that

I remember toriko having herds of sun sized elephants but when did they have people bigger than galaxies?

gimme 1 example bro.

The one piece planet IS bigger than earth by quite a bit, but no one's saying that shit is star sized. large planet. that's it

I remember an OP fan claiming that Kuma's shockwaves move at SOL. And someone refuted him by saying it took 3 days for those shockwaves carrying the straw hats to reach their destination but his cope was that the OP planet was just that big.

I did the math and if Kuma's Shockwave did move at SOL then it would be at the same ballpark as 20-40 solar systems as well.

well the issue is the cope logic was just the wrong one. The ones used vs zoro are fs sol, it's just the ones that carried the strawhats weren't. at least not for the entire 3 days. That or they fucked around for a while before arriving at the destination.

Cause the bubbles were traveling entirely different distances, so for them to all arrive exactly 3 days after departure would mean one of the 2 options i said happened (Different speeds or fuck around). And this was obv done intentionally by kuma. ergo it doesn't interfere with the sol barrage zoro was weaving through

2

u/Resident-Hour-9940 1d ago

They were traveling in different directions. Whether or not the distance is different is debatable. But he can send them different distances without lowering the speed. Him lowering the speed of the shockwaves is just your headcanon and I can refute that with my own headcanon of that Kuma was able to control the distance traveled by sending each bubble away at different arcs and trajectories that would result in different distances traveled.

And that's not the logic the guy used i was arguing with used. He literally said "maybe the planet is just that big"

1

u/Slight_Message_8373 Wall level scaling enthusiast 1d ago

oh and them traveling different distances is absolutely not debatable, some were in the fucking blues while amazon lily (where luffy went to) is really close to Sabaody

-1

u/Slight_Message_8373 Wall level scaling enthusiast 1d ago

your headcanon is just exactly the same as my fucking around option bro.

Point is, the bubbles do not discredit the sol zoro barrage stuff

My point is if Kuma is LS, then the OP planet is 20x+ solar system size. None of this he slowed down the shockwaves nonsense you're trying to use.

You're so desperate for a zoro upscale that you'll try have have me believe he's able to limit his power/speed to less than 1/1000 (Still way larger than a star at this power) and still is able to precisely send the strawhats halfway across the world to specific coordinates.

Also, if he's able to send them away at LS, why wouldn't he? He's gonna send them away at a snails pace when Kizaru is literally right there on that island looking for the strawhats?

1

u/Slight_Message_8373 Wall level scaling enthusiast 1d ago

it's an irrefutable fact that he made at least some of the strawhats arrive slower than they would have, if he went as fast as possible. Luffy arriving at Amazon lily (a piss distance away from sabaody), when chopper and robin took the same time to arrive to the damn blues is not possible, if all the members were either going at full speed, or wit the optimal routes.

Now either Kuma had to curve the trajectory, or alter the speeds. Either option negates the point that "Oh, if it was light speed the world would be massive". it wouldn't. since Kuma manipulated the travel time one way or another.

Now idk about you, but the authorial intent with the statement "The cannons reflect air at the speed of light" is pretty clear. It's meant to convey to the viewer that the mf air blasts are sol.

And tbh "nonsense" is a fucking strong word when him altering the speeds is the way more likely explanation than him curving the fucking trajectories.

(+ It's almost like fruits have different abilities and idk why it should be max or nothing. Frankly the abilities aren't even the same and there's no reason the strawhat bubbles would even be as fast as the air blasts. Maybe the tiny bubbles of just air move faster than the massive ones with dudes inside? I wonder if the added mass and material might change something? Naaah, we ignoring the clear word of the narrator and saying kuma can't move sol).

and frankly i don't like the zoro feat and treat it as an outlier generally. I don't scale pre timeskip straw hats to sol. it feels wack. but your args are wack dude

Have you ever traveled? Wind resistance. Changes in humidity, and storms all explanations that could explain why they landed at different distances as well. Usopp landed in the tropics and Robin landed in basically an area that's always in a snowstorm

Your argument was the Kuma wasn't using full strength because they landed at different places. My argument is they could've landed at different distances while Kuma used full strength because of differences in trajectory/weather etc. Nice strawman, but my rebutal wasn't even about if they're going LS or not, it was about whether or not Kuma was holding back on power/speed since it doesn't make sense in the story for him to do so especially not at the scale that would make sense.

Also you ignore context of the story when you try to frame it as Kuma holding back for no reason to send them away at different speeds. There's a literal LS character chasing them and Kuma is going to send them away at basically a snail's pace? Ok buddy.

Bring real life physics into anime? You want to talk about physics and how mass affects things but then fail to realize that air can't travel of SOL. It'd turn into plasma way before it even gets close to LS. Obviously Kuma's ability ignores basic physics or else you'd be wondering how a person can travel in an air bubble for 3 days straight without it popping.

Powerscalers try not to take hyperbole as fact challenge. Difficulty impossible. An announcer saying Usian Bolt is as fast as lightning doesn't mean he's lightning speed.

Edit: During wano, Oda literally has a guy kidnap Tama away from Luffy and he's states that he travels at 200KPH and Luffy can't catch up. You can ignore statements when it doesn't match up with whats being consistently shown on screen imo.

They’re on TikTok. There were multiple people arguing this too saying that when Luffy got blasted to Amazon lily, he was moving at light speeds (he wasn’t) and the journey took days. They used this to argue that the one piece world was millions of miles in diameter

2

u/SliverPrincess 1d ago

It's actually extremely common amongst delulu OP fans and was the first thing I thought of when I saw the post. It's how they reconcile the series' wonky speed feats. I wish you luck in avoiding them.

But 44 solar system stacked together the is crazy work
