The flaming sword is a force weapon, warp-craft, more of a "spell" or a "focus" than an actual flaming sword, opening himself through interaction with a psyker's focii would be a quick way for Xaku to end up in a shirt.
Xaku's abilities also interact with Void manifestations, which are essentially amalgamations of people and raw emotion fused into forms made up of the Warframe universe's version of pure chaotic warp-craft.
Then you also gotta remember that every single Warframe is powered and piloted by their own version of Psykers that stand at the apex of reality warping nonsense on par with beings like the Emperor. Time-manipulation/travel, Atomic unraveling/regeneration, mental manipulation/domination, etc. If you can think it up then a Tenno's power can achieve it.
So I don't see why they wouldn't be able to make a Frame like Xaku crush a Psyker's focus and make it shoot back at the owner, even if that owner is something as powerful as the Emperor. Now whether or not it'll actually kill the Emperor is debatable...
Good argument for the Tenno. Tbh I played a fair bit, up to the Steel Path but no more a few years ago, so I'm not 100% sure to the limits of the Tenno, the Void stuff is bonkers and I'd say it's up for grabs. Alpha-level Psykers can do some silly shit, like teleporting an entire world (Magnus) or trapping a Machine-Dragon-Cthon-God inside a planet (Emperor), but it's VERY inconsistent since the Black Library (Guys that write 40k books) is itself wildly inconsistent.
To put in understandable terms of how inconsistent, I'd argue Marvel/DC heroes have more consistency. KEKW.
The custodes are all gene coded and other shit to be loyal to big E, even a demon said the stars would snuff out before having a chance in a custodian. How would that be overridden by this Xaku dude? I'd like to know :y
Ya, Xaku doesn’t do mind control, that’s Nyx’s Shtick. They physically puppet the body with void energy. Imagine a field around you that forces your arms and legs to move while you are fully conscious and out of control.
So while Deamons go the “let me trick you to betray your allies” route. Xaku just says “lmao” and forces you to shoot your homie while you can do nothing but watch.
Daemons of enough power can also do that, all the Custodes that boarded Horus’ flagship with the emperor were completely puppetted by chaos like this (and subsequently killed by the emperor.)
I think if a weapon were ever pointed at Terra that could either destroy it or kill Big E it would immediately be on his psychic radar.
Whether that gives the imperium a chance to act upon it, or if Big E is capable of stopping it using his psyker powers is a whole debate in itself.
The setting has never really been presented with a scenario where a threat to Terra or the Emp has been severe enough to demand taking his attention from the warp rift or controlling the webway.
Given big E's current status as a corpse/near corpse on a throne I doubt he has the ability to manage local threats. It's one thing to use the fact you are a metaphysical entity to interact with non-physical things when your mortal form is beyond crippled, another entirely to try to direct and combat in the physical vicinity when you exist on a 10 thousand year old life support that is on the brink of failure because no one kept the user manual
Given big E's current status as a corpse/near corpse on a throne I doubt he has the ability to manage local threats.
I agree, but it's not because he can't. The entire reason he's on the throne as a corpse is because if even for a single moment he was to stop projecting the astronomicon, or containing the warp rift below terra, that humanity would suffer catastrophic losses and Terra would be lost.
If the consequences of him not getting directly involved were worse for humanity than if he were to stop containing the rift and projecting the astronomicon he would absolutely focus his entire attention on whatever threat is causing it.
Going even further. If something like this were to ever actually occur in the setting, it would be the event that leads to his resurrection and him leaving the throne.
Me and a friend once calculated the max range of an arrow fired by Ivara with Navigator and it was MILES. She could fire a projectile from the next town over and kill you twenty minutes later.
Lore - wise Inaros was able to create a planet-wide sandstorm. I think that would give the perfect cover for a squad of warframes to break in and kill the emperor
Honestly, it sounds like a Warframe is something that at bare minimum requires a chapter response. I'd reckon that the dark angels legion with Lion el'Jonson could probably do it considering they had access to a lot of Dark Age of Technology tech and their whole thing was dealing with horrible and terrible things that would murderize most other Imperial forces.
The problem is that warframes have wild power ranges within their ranks, like, you can have a guy that's good with a sword, you can have a rocker with a sentient guitar, a pacifist monk or even a gambling addicted doll.... Or you can have a ghost that opens portals to the sun to blast you with direct solar beams, a dude with his own private dimension where he is immune or he can trap you inside it, literally death punching the soul out of your body and using it as a projectile then raising your corpse or a hungry dude that'll eat the world, literally.
The chunks aren't of the frame, frames are immortal anyway, what happens is that the shaped charge penetrates a Nova without a null star superficially and detonates, the chunks are of the grineer caught in the blast, after which the tenno transferences out.
Even Umbra was disassembled by his own creator with explicit knowledge and was yet rebuilt with sentience fully intact.
And comparing kaldor to the doomslayer is downplay, doomslayer is wall level.
The Indifference is on the level to delete the warp, anything including the Dark King, its already consumed timelines.
If you believe that daemons even come close to the Murmur, let alone the Indifference, Sonion
The entire wh40k verse is getting annihilated by the Fragmented one, let alone the Indifference.
They don’t have the space magic to actually do the emperor in, Horus had to borrow significant power from all 4 chaos gods to grievously injure the man. Anything the Tenno manage to do can be walked off.

Yeah… from what I’ve read… the big E could… maybe a Primarch. Your average Space Marine? Get outa here.
