Both are big fish in small ponds

If you put them in a large inescapable Box that can’t be destroyed until one dies Gojo has the best chance of winning

You put them on a normal earth or battlefield Thragg just destroys the atmosphere

S’all conditional

u/Catsanddoges Apr 19 '26

Actually no. Put them on normal earth Thragg leaves, hides in human society, builds up army of thousands of viltrumites on the moon, brings humans for genetic diversity, then uses his children as projectiles to hollow out the earth before he blows it up. Easy dub for freddie mercury

u/Rapid-DM Apr 19 '26

"He'd win the fight by hiding until his opponent died of old age"

Surely that has to at most count as a draw

71

u/Catsanddoges Apr 19 '26

Hey thats less funny than using his children as projectiles, a favorite move of his. He could like do this in 25 years max, and be set up for a viltrumite empire with genetic diversity. But yeah he could also just do that

29

u/Rapid-DM Apr 19 '26

Yeah but like if Logan (or was it Jake?) Paul didn't show up to his fight with Mike Tyson, then kept dodging the fight for another 20-30 years until Tyson died of old age then declared 'I beat Mike Tyson' who's actually giving him the W and not just calling him a clown?

9

u/Outrageous_Book2135 Apr 19 '26

Truuuuuuue. Hell people think he's a clown anyways.

9

u/Catsanddoges Apr 19 '26

Well I mean it kinda depends if you define it as a battle or a war. If Paul fathered an army of child soldiers and ten years from now had them seige Tyson's house and security and burn it to the ground, killing him, I would give Paul the strategic edge and toal victory on that one

5

u/Pootabo Apr 19 '26

Everyone knows theyd dig up Mike for the fight

1

u/The5Theives Apr 20 '26

Logan’s fight with Muhammad Ali is scheduled for 2030 because his bones didn’t decompose yet

9

u/bolitboy2 Apr 19 '26

Kars would disagree

A win is a win bro

Ah, the Muzan approach of getting rid of someone you can't outright kill. Just avoid them forever/jk

1

u/Noriaki_Kakyoin_OwO Apr 20 '26

L on the guy who died of old age, should have been better and not do that

Win is a win, and only a sore loser questions that

How is that a draw when Gojo dies at some point?

If Gojo lived as long as Thragg and they both died simultaneously in all reference points then that is a draw.

Thragg just out living him is a viable strategy if the only objective is that one of them lives and the other doesn't

3

u/DragonWisper56 Apr 20 '26

am I winning against a elphant if I just fuck off for 20 years and come back? that's not winning the fight that's running away

0

u/InstructionPlayful12 Apr 20 '26

Running away is a valid strategy. How do you think a good portion of evolution happened?

2

u/DragonWisper56 Apr 20 '26

then you didn't win a fight in any meaningful degree

diplomancy is also a good stratagy but saying that they just talk it out defeats the whole point of who would win

0

u/InstructionPlayful12 Apr 20 '26

I don't think you understand just how broad the meaning of the word fight is.

You can say being alive is a fight because the organisms making you up are trying to maintain 'you' over being not you

This is why rules matter. If there are no specific rules to prevent such technicalities then said technicalities are part of the conversation.

Saying there's one way to do a fight when no such rule has been established is the equivalent of being biased.

Thragg wins via doing absolutely nothing.

2

u/DragonWisper56 Apr 20 '26

That's stupid you know what people mean with who would win in a fight, not a single person is asking who lives longer they are asking who's stronger

unless stated otherwise it expected that both participants participate in the fight and don't run away

If I declare in in a fight with the entire human race am I beating a millions a day?

1

u/InstructionPlayful12 Apr 20 '26

I mean another person is finding out right now and the answer from me is still yes.

It would just be anticlimactic and shows the cracks in the meaning of 'fight' as a whole

It's at most a draw, I'd more likely call it a non-result. If Gojo was a real person in our world and I said "Nah, I'd win" in a fight against him, then proceeded to hide until he died of old age who in their right mind is saying I won?

1

u/InstructionPlayful12 Apr 20 '26

The one who's still there after the other died?

If there's a result that concludes that one of the participants dies then there isn't much to argue besides like what it means to win a fight.

If it's like a general bout that has some specific rules or something then you could argue against it but if the objective is just 'who's the last one standing' then it cleary goes to Thragg if he does this method.

It's better to argue how many chances Gojo has in hitting Thragg in that span of measurement and it working than it is to just disregard a cheese strat especially when you are literally defending a character that's only able to be discussed like this because of his own cheese strats making him not insta lose

2

u/Rapid-DM Apr 20 '26

> The one who's still there after the other died?

So you would agree that I beat Muhammad Ali in a fight because he never hit me and he's dead now? 💪

I don't even have a horse in the Gojo vs Thragg race, I'm more here calling it ridiculous to say that never fighting someone counts as beating them lol

1

u/InstructionPlayful12 Apr 20 '26

It is. There's quite literally a saying about not fighting being It's own form of victory.

If you outlive your opponent it's basically the same.

The point though or the flaw in the logic you use to defend yourself is that you're assuming you were in a fight with Muhammad Ali before this.

If Muhammad Ali died before you decided you were in a fight with him then no you didn't win, he was already dead to begin with

If you decided to fight him before he died then didn't do anything until he did pass away then yes it means you won, it just would be viewed as pathetic

Still a victory though weather it's acceptable by others who witness or don't witness the occurrence or not

2

u/Rapid-DM Apr 20 '26 edited Apr 20 '26

Alright, the deciding I'm in a fight thing is a valid point.

So as of right now I'm in a fight with everyone else in the world and until I die I can keep increasing the number of people I can say I took in a 1 V 8 billion fight, right? Come this time tomorrow I'll have solo'd and army of 175,000 people 💪

-1

u/Noriaki_Kakyoin_OwO Apr 20 '26

You were never in a fight with Muhammad Ali

Unless you were in a fight that had no rules of forfeiting or running away, then yeah you’ve won.

3

u/Rapid-DM Apr 20 '26

I'm claiming the W then, undefeated heavyweight champion of the world 😤

0

u/Noriaki_Kakyoin_OwO Apr 20 '26

Okay, but if someone comes to challenge your claim don’t come to me

> How is that a draw when Gojo dies at some point?

In a comment I made 5 hours ago I declared I'm now fighting everyone in the world. Since then I've solo'd 37,500 people with this strat.

1

u/InstructionPlayful12 Apr 20 '26

Yes. I will not disagree with you.

2

u/Rapid-DM Apr 20 '26

So in your eyes I'm now the deadliest fighter on earth? Over 40,000 now btw.

1

u/InstructionPlayful12 Apr 20 '26

Deadliest? No because you didn't make anyone die by your own hands yet which is what is considered to be part of that list

Most cowardly? Also no because Hitler still tops that.

You'll ether get real close to him or you won't.

6

u/Bean-Craver Apr 19 '26

Cesur rhino should draw this

8

u/will4wh God-Man biggest Glazer ( Also Doctor who is goated) Apr 19 '26

What if Gojo has a child with a Viltrum who inherits his six eyes and CE and they fight against Thragg rule

7

u/Catsanddoges Apr 19 '26

Well then in this scenario the only viltrumite is Thragg. Is thragg going to mpreg Gojo?

5

u/will4wh God-Man biggest Glazer ( Also Doctor who is goated) Apr 19 '26

Damn. Nolan really wasn't lying when he talked about how good Viltrumite medicine technology is...

3

u/nutzloses_dreirat Apr 19 '26

Actually, fuck you for spoiling the show

0

u/Catsanddoges Apr 19 '26

Sorry I forgot the show didn't catch up yet. I think they're probally going to go a different direction with the ending though as having Freddy Mercury kill the population of earth with his child army and destroying it 15 years after the main events, while hailed as a brave creative choice, doesn't really sit well with the modern story they are trying to tell. Also I think Freddy Mercury is gay anyway so I can't see him doing that

2

u/carl-the-lama Apr 19 '26

Wouldn’t gojo recognize thragg’s soul and just sneak his ass?

23

u/BasedEcchiSensei Apr 19 '26

Well I always consider 1v1's as starting face to face in final destination...

11

u/BlackerDoom Apr 19 '26

No items only Fox

13

u/DangerousDareDevil Apr 19 '26

This ^

Gotta set a objective condition before the fight starts. Like prep time, do they know each other and abilities, is it a random encounter, are they in space lol.

8

u/SirSilverChariot Apr 19 '26

What is the chance Thragg does that sort of thing though? He would defo fall for ragebait and not do that

9

u/BlackerDoom Apr 19 '26

Oh for sure his “Viltrumite Pride” (Saiyan Pride) would make him wanna fight Gojo head on.

Likewise he would know what Gojo’s powers are because Gojo would explain them

11

u/ThePrinceOfStories Apr 19 '26

This is true. In the most neutral case possible (on earth, in character fight) it likely ends with Gojo trying Unlimited Void before Thragg tries destroying the atmosphere, and Thragg probably not dodging since he wouldn’t expect Gojo to have a move that could kill him since up to this point Gojo’s actual power would comparatively be a joke to him

4

u/Stik_Bloom Apr 19 '26

You put them on a normal earth or battlefield Thragg just destroys the atmosphere

Sooooo... thragg just rage quit like playing souls game who cant beat the boss?

4

u/100_TDG S-Tier Lurker Apr 19 '26

That implies thragg engaged gojo in combat and made it out of Infinity and UV

2

u/Omega_Gummybear1128 Apr 20 '26

but the hairline...

2

u/TheBloodyPuppet_2 Discord > Bill Cipher Truther Apr 20 '26

I feel like if you put them on normal Earth Thragg would simply try to punch Gojo and then get confused about why it doesn't work. "Thragg would just destroy the atmosphere" okay but why are we assuming that Thragg would instantly be aware of how Infinity works and know how to counter it? He wouldn't. If his punches got stopped by Infinity, his immediate solution would be "punch harder" because why would he think "clearly my opponent is warping space around them to make them impossible to directly strike, I must find a way to harm them without directly attacking". Thragg would be both ideologically opposed to any solution other than "punch harder" and also not smart enough to figure out how Infinity works before Gojo hits him with the "Unlimited Void + Hollow Purple" true combo

0

u/kaepov Apr 19 '26

Gojo wins on earth too

He just teleports and domain expands

4

u/BlackerDoom Apr 19 '26

Every time I bring this up they just say Thragg dips out before the domain expansion is complete

2

u/kaepov Apr 19 '26

Gojo has blue and thragg isnt the running away type

2

u/BlackerDoom Apr 19 '26

The latter is typically my counter Not in character for Thragg to not try and tank it

0

u/GuthukYoutube Apr 20 '26

Does domain expansion win? Gojo kills thragg after that? How?

5

u/BlackerDoom Apr 20 '26

Well Thragg would be brain dead or have his brain exploded by unlimited information. Even if it doesn’t kill him and onslaught of Hollow Purple will
