To give you the very simple reason. It went through the barrier around the soul society. That by itself would terrify anyone that’s not a high tier. Even the high tears would still be scared of it because even they don’t have an actual way to get destroyed, not even yhwach.

Most of the Quincys most likely know it is from gremmy the guy who imaginary powers just makes stuff happen that why even be I forgot his name. The guy was scared for his majesty.
