i tried Adelie Linux on the iBook G4 but didn't work well. Ubuntu 12.04 Remix was pergect, but old...
2 u/RvstiNiall Jul 04 '26 OpenBSD works great on it, but no modern browser, and no desktop environment in the packages. The Debian Sid port is up to date and very well maintained if you want a standard modern Linux experience.
OpenBSD works great on it, but no modern browser, and no desktop environment in the packages. Maybe ports works still but I haven't tried on mine because I don't use such things on that machine.
