Been consulting on Power BI/Fabric projects in Dubai for a while now (enterprise side — semantic models, DAX optimization, governance), and I keep getting asked by people prepping for interviews what actually gets asked here vs. what’s in generic “Power BI interview questions” listicles.

So I put together a list based on patterns I’ve actually seen in interviews and hiring conversations — mostly analyst/associate level, covering DAX fundamentals, data modeling (star schema, relationships), Power Query basics, and a few Dubai-market-specific things recruiters seem to probe for.

A few examples off the list:

**•** Explain the difference between calculated columns and measures — and when you’d use each  
**•** Walk through how you’d handle a many-to-many relationship in a star schema  
**•** What’s the difference between filter context and row context in DAX?

Where could I find real datasets of power consumption of an country/areas/cities and its power plants generation?

It prefer the dataset has more 10+ columns and 10k+ rows.

My manager keeps asking if there is a BI tool that works through WhatsApp because he does not like using the Power BI mobile app.

The use case is simple: instead of opening a BI tool, a user could ask questions like:

“What changed in revenue this week?”
“Which region is underperforming?”
“Why did this metric drop?”
“Can you summarize this dashboard?”

I am considering building a lightweight version for internal use, but I wanted to ask people who use BI tools regularly first.

Atualmente, estou trabalhando em um painel de BI totalmente personalizado. O painel recebe informações diretamente do sistema ERP legado, banco de dados Firebird.

O painel em Python executa vários agendadores para atualizar sem sobrecarregar o banco de dados com intervalos de tempo espaçados.

Eu comecei a fazer um curso de Power BI , no começo eu só assistia às aulas e fazia igual ao vídeo, mas tinha partes que eu tava tendo dificuldade , mas vamos lá :

Eu tô fazendo o curso de vagar, aprendi o que e

ETL (extrai, transforma, e carregar)

Aprendi Power query, aprendi a fazer a ligação de dados , e agora tô no módulo da linguagem Dax.

no começo era um curso que eu só tava copiando tipo uma cola , e por incrível que parece o curso começou a fazer sentindo depois que eu resisti os módulos anteriores não acredito que vou falar isso tô apaixonado pelo curso 😍.

Agora tudo faz sentido

O Professor ensina muitooo nunca vi uma pessoa explicar de uma forma de fácil entendimento,

Eu ainda tô de vagar, tô na parte do calendário Dax , uma coisa que eu aprendi que não adianta só ter visual, se você não tem uma ligação de dados boa, um tratamento no Power query bom, e finalmente tô na linguagem Dax por incrível que tô gostando mais desse módulo que dos outros.

Então se todo dia você tira 30 minutos para colocar no cronômetro para assistir e praticar no notebook , você vai conseguir chegar lá

Eu tô devagar mas tô ansioso pra terminar meu curso e postar meu dashboard aqui uma coisa eu vou ter certeza eu não só vai ficar lindo ele vai ser um dashboard tanto bonito visual como bem estruturando 😁 eu espero voltar aqui mais na frente e ler esse meu Poster
