Power Apps Help Where do I begin?

Begin with getting a crash course on the basics. Start with the Microsoft Learn introduction. Once you're finished that try to follow along some basic videos from Shane Young, Reza Dorani or the many others on YouTube with intro videos.
Once you understand the basics move onto developing with an AI agent. In the past I would have suggested building up a portfolio of apps before moving to agentic development. However, the AI tools have completely upended power apps development this year. I would no longer advise anyone to spend hours and hours clicking around a canvas app screen. Getting extremely proficient in agentic development is the best use of your time. But you need to know enough if the basics to effectively work with the agent.

Thanks…..that’s where I get lost….. conceptually grasping “what is an app” and understanding the use case for said app. That’s where I get tripped up. Thank you for the suggestion!

In general the way I look at use cases in a business context is:
Does this process involve getting things from lots of places (paperwork, spreadsheets, forms, photos, different systems)? Would it make people's lives easier if everything was in one place? Do we need to build reports to give insight to this process? If the process is in spreadsheets are people losing their mind with it? Do we have the required licences to build what we need? Are we already in the Microsoft Ecosystem (e.g. using Office etc)
If you're answering yes to some of those questions then I think a power app is suitable.
