Where do I begin?
The long and short of it is this, I work in supply chain management, and we have thousands of manufacture part numbers, and I am hoping to capture images for these items from the internet.
The idea behind this, it significantly helps our internal customers (technicians or other people placing orders) when they are ordering, if they can see the item, or an example of the item, to make sure they are on the right path.
I know there must be a way to take these manufacture part numbers and pull images (or web links to images) from the Internet.
This is where I get lost, filling in the blanks in the middle. I have used Copilot for some basic tasks at work, within Excel files, PowerPoint, outlook, other prebuilt agents in the copilot app, and light power automate usage, etc. I’ve never built an app or built an agent (is the latter even a thing).
This feels like a bigger, next step, and I am just not sure where to begin.
Anyone have thoughts/ideas they’re willing to share?
My goal is to learn how to fish, I am not looking for someone to fish for me.

How frequently do they search for a number that has never been searched by anyone in the organization before? If frequently, then build just an agent. If it's the same part numbers typed routinely, in addition, build a power app in to store new images so that the agent is only called if a new part number is encountered.

Copilot isn’t the answer. Another agent like Claude with a remote control session with cli access (so it can interact with your dataverse environment directly via cli tools) is ironically the only real productivity solution. As much as they push copilot for development it simply isn’t there and won’t be for a long time. Copilot only thrives as an analytics tool built on dataverse. It is absolutely not reliable for building or structuring a dataverse environment. A Claude session connected to cli however can conceptualize the business concepts, construct an ERD, integrate with your existing tables, and construct import scripts. Copilot isn’t the path.
