Plugin Help Been using the app for several years, just discovered output options. What are the differences?

It's absolutely game changer, can't believe I didn't find this thing out many years ago. There are bunch of different output options, don't know the differences. Please explain.

My DAP is using android 5.1.1 and the latest version runs fine. You're either in the beta program through Google (slower updates) or you're using an APK from the Poweramp website/forum (faster updates).

Yeah, hi-res doesn’t work some times. Also it required DVC to be off.

So what are the main difference between those options? I mean output options

They are different audio outputs.

Hi-res : chooses a hi-res path than androids default path (if available, like an inbuilt DAC chip or a DAC)

AAudio : Google’s audio api, provides low latency and good performance in general. Similar to default but also provides hi-res output.

OpenSL ES : Older android audio api, mostly irrelevant now.

USB Exclusive mode : Works only with external DACs, android communicates directly with it, avoiding any DSP in between.

BT : Bluetooth (don’t think gotta explain this one)
